We are in those awkward few weeks between the unofficial end of summer and official end of summer, and we're here with news of two cancelled series (one on TBS and the other on Netflix), a new drama for NBC that sounds similar to a recent news story, and more. The TBS series, The Detour, is coming to a dead end as it has been cancelled after four seasons. (Variety)
Netflix has announced Grace and Frankie will come to an end after the seventh season. (CNN)
Although it's not exactly based upon the college admissions scandal (it's in fact based upon a Korean series that predates the scandal), NBC has nabbed a drama series that has a similar story. (Deadline)

MeTV is airing a tribute to Valerie Harper with episodes of The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Rhoda on Sunday, beginning at 5 PM ET/PT.
The limited series A Very Brady Renovation debuts Monday on HGTV.
The new comedy series, Mr. Mom, debuts Thursday on Vudu.
