SitcomsOnline Digest: Last Man Standing Prepares for Casting Changes; Viacom Series Headed to Hulu

Welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! We have a somewhat shorter version this week, as the holiday fell in the middle of the week (meaning there wasn't much news either before or after it), but we're here with some casting news from Last Man Standing, yet another update on Roseanne (the person, not the show), and more. Let's get going!

HIGHLIGHTS FROM SITCOMSONLINE.COM AND AROUND THE WEB
  • Last Man Standing is returning for a new season on Fox, but if you’re expecting all of the original cast to return, you might be disappointed. (Variety
  • Numerous series from Viacom cable networks are heading to Hulu. (Deadline)
  • It was hoped that Timeless, which was cancelled by NBC, would find a home elsewhere, but that hasn't happened and now there is hope that it can be wrapped up with a movie on NBC. (Deadline)
  • We wouldn't be complete unless we had some sort of update about Roseanne, and she said this week that she has received many new offers for series since being fired from her own show, although we're somewhat skeptical. (ABC News)
  • Antenna TV is making numerous changes soon, including adding What's Happening Now!! and Archie Bunker's Place to the lineup. (SitcomsOnline)

    WEEKLY PLANNER (JULY 7 - JULY 13)
    • It's the lull of summer for TV, so now is as good of a time as any to go back and check up on those TGIF shows on Hulu, as that should keep you busy all week.
    • Wiseguy will be on Decades all this weekend.
