When Heather tries to become Tyler’s cool best friend, things take an awkward turn. Now that Frankie knows Axl was offered a job in Denver, she makes it her mission to sway him from taking it and moving away. Meanwhile, the usually overly optimistic Sue is depressed over Sean leaving for Ghana, without ever expressing her feelings for him; and Brick drives everyone crazy when he buys a huge amount of lawn chairs to replace the one he’s been using for nine years.

When Junior is accepted to Howard and Stanford, Dre tries to convince him to attend his alma mater. Meanwhile, Jack develops a comedy style and Ruby decides she’s going to manage his career, forcing Diane to compete for her attention.

The Johnsons go to Jack and Diane’s school play about Columbus Day, and Dre is dismayed by the historically inaccurate way that the holiday is portrayed. He feels like there aren’t enough black holidays, so he enlists Aloe Blacc at work to help him create a catchy song to raise awareness for a holiday worth celebrating, Juneteenth.

It’s Christmas in New York. Liza celebrates with Caitlin. Kelsey finds herself caught in a web of her own making. Charles makes up his mind.

The Book Fair comes to Fillmore and Ms. Snap is inspired to be an author. Ms. Bennigan, Ms. Watson, and Mrs. Adler enjoy gawking when they hire a moving company called Moving Hunks.

The Goldbergs - "Spaceballs" (ABC, 8:00PM ET/PT) (Repeat)
Adam tries to start a Mel Brooks club after he sees the movie “Spaceballs,” and Jackie mistakes his club advertisement for political satire and puts it in the school paper. Meanwhile, when Beverly and Pops come up for parents weekend at school, Erica plans on telling them an important decision she has made, but Murray surprises them and tags along.

The Goldbergs - "Hogan Is My Grandfather" (ABC, 8:30PM ET/PT) (Repeat)
Adam is assigned a term paper on a great person in history, and he decides to make a movie about his grandfather but finds all of Pop’s war stories mundane. Pops takes matters into his own hands and decides to tell more exciting stories based on an old television series. Meanwhile, Erica returns home to confront Beverly for over-mothering her. Murray insists Beverly teach Erica and Barry basic life skills, but she worries Erica and Barry will be too independent.

When Luke goes missing after a night out in a sketchy neighborhood, Manny, Phil and Gloria team up to track him down.
