Paramount Network Gets Roseanne; The CW Summer 2018 Schedule
As new episodes of Roseanne continue to break ratings records on ABC, Paramount Network looks to capitalize on this television phenomenon as it adds classic episodes of Roseanne to its weekday lineup. Roseanne will debut with a marathon on Paramount Network on Tuesday, April 17 from 9:00am-8:00pm, leading into the all-new episode that night on ABC. The marathon will feature episodes showcasing the relationship between Darlene (Sara Gilbert) and David (Johnny Galecki), which is a storyline in the new episode that evening. Beginning Wednesday, April 18, four half-hour classic episodes of Roseanne will run each weekday afternoon from 4-6pm ET/PT. The series also airs on sister networks of Paramount on Viacom properties TV Land, Logo and CMT. Roseanne also airs on the diginet Laff.
Roseanne stars actress and comedian Roseanne Barr and centers around a working-class American family in Illinois. From executive producer Carsey Werner Productions, Roseanne ran for nine seasons on ABC (1988-1997) and triumphantly returned to stellar ratings this past March. The Roseanne cast also includes John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Sara Gilbert, Lecy Goranson, and Natalie West.
The CW Network has set its Summer 2018 premiere dates, with original programming all summer long, including new scripted series and returning favorites. As The CW continues to move into a year-round programming schedule, several of The CW's hit scripted series will wrap their seasons during the summer months, including Life Sentence, whose season finale airs Friday, June 15 (9:00-10:00pm ET/PT), and Supergirl, which will conclude its third season on Monday, June 18 (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT).
