SitcomsOnline Digest: Starsky & Hutch Reboot?; Norman Lear Developing Pilot at NBC
HIGHLIGHTS FROM SITCOMSONLINE.COM AND AROUND THE WEB
- It isn't a matter of wondering if a reboot of a classic series in the works, it's a matter of asking which one. This week, it's Starsky and Hutch. (Hollywood Reporter)
- It is still a long way from becoming an actual TV series, but Norman Lear is still active at age 95, and is now developing a pilot at NBC. (Variety)

- For a big chunk of the past quarter century, ABC has aired America's Funniest Home Videos at 7:00 PM slot on Sundays with a few exceptions, such as the few seasons it only existed as specials, but it appears ABC is going to be changing things up at least slightly for the fall. (Deadline)
- Bill Nye is suing Disney over unpaid royalties from Bill Nye the Science Guy, the series that made him a household name. (New York Times)
- Fox News had a reasonably stable primetime lineup for decades, with just a few changes here and there, but it seems that something changes every few months these days, and now Laura Ingraham may be in line to get her own primetime talk show on the network. (Variety)
- The "Summer of Me" is ending on MeTV in a little over a week, which means it is time to begin "Fall for Me." (SitcomsOnline)
TUESDAY (AUGUST 29) HOME MEDIA RELEASES
