Antenna TV Adds Prime Stacks for Week of Aug. 21; GLOW Gets Season 2 on Netflix
Starting next Monday (August 21), Antenna TV will air sitcom stacks in primetime with "very special episodes" of your fave sitcoms. Four episodes back-to-back of your fave sitcoms. The primetime block of 8-10pm on weeknights will have Family Ties on Monday, All in the Family on Tuesday, One Day at a Time on Wednesday, Good Times on Thursday, and Maude on Friday. They are replacing Sanford & Son at 8pm, which is on hiatus for this week, and All in the Family at 9pm. The Antenna TV fall schedule will begin after Labor Day with the addition of Welcome Back, Kotter (which will have a Labor Day marathon) and we will have much more on that very soon. Come on back for that (but not to worry Sanford & Son will return then).
Netflix has renewed GLOW for a second season (ten episodes). Set in 1985 Los Angeles, GLOW follows Ruth Wilder (Alison Brie), a struggling out-of-work actress as she auditions for, trains and eventually makes the first-ever women's wrestling TV show. Inspired by the short-lived but beloved show from the 80s, GLOW is a Cinderella story with bodyslams. GLOW is created by Liz Flahive (Homeland, Nurse Jackie) and Carly Mensch (Nurse Jackie, Orange Is The New Black, Weeds). Orange Is the New Black creator Jenji Kohan and Tara Herrmann are executive producers alongside Flahive and Mensch, who are serving as showrunners.
