Antenna TV's April Fool's Day Marathon; Missy Peregrym Joins Syfy Series
Celebrate April Fool's Day with a fool day (see what we did there?) of The Three Stooges on Antenna TV, Tribune Broadcasting's multicast network. Antenna TV, which airs in 133 TV markets across the U.S. reaching 88% of TV households, kicks off its annual April Fool's Day marathon at 1pm ET on Saturday, April 1 and runs through 10pm ET. Fumbling Fools: Three Stooges marathon features 9 hours of yuks with 24 episodes of the Stooges.
Nomadic Pictures (Fargo, Hell On Wheels) announced that Missy Peregrym (Rookie Blue) has joined the season two cast of action series Van Helsing. The 13-episode, hour-long drama, which airs on Syfy in the U.S., reimagines the timeless Dracula brand with the resurrection of Vanessa Van Helsing, the next in line of a lineage of warriors who now must lead mankind against a world controlled by vampires. Peregrym will play Scarlett Harker, a woman with a mysterious past who might help turn the tide against the vampires. Award-winning, writer-director Neil LaBute has returned as showrunner. The series, slated to return this fall, is currently in production shooting in Vancouver, BC. Missy Peregrym is a Canadian actress and former fashion model best known for her role as Officer Andy McNally on the ABC and Global Television Network series Rookie Blue.
Van Helsing airs on Syfy in the U.S., on SuperEcran in Quebec, Canada and globally on Netflix. And as we first reported, Missy can be next seen guest starring on an episode of Law & Order: SVU airing Wednesday, March 29 on NBC, as TVLine mentioned.
