Green Acres, Married with Children Coming to Logo; WGN America Holiday 2016 Schedule
It looks like Logo is the place to be for sitcoms, as Green Acres and Married...with Children are joining the lineup beginning this week. The '60s classic Green Acres will begin on Tuesday (Nov. 15) at 8am, as New York lawyer Oliver Douglas longs to live on a farm, so he quits his job at the law firm and moves to Hooterville. On the first day the series will air from 8am-1:30pm. The series will air on most weekdays, with times varying but usually 11am-1:30pm. Married...with Children will begin on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 9pm and looks like a weekend play with the first night being from 9pm-2am. And a Sunday afternoon block from 1-6pm. Married... with Children is a show about shoe salesman, Al Bundy, who raises his dysfunctional family. These two sitcoms join other series on the Logo line-up like Three's Company, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, All in the Family, Roseanne, Will & Grace and The Golden Girls. No sign of all the other sitcoms they have had recently like The Facts of Life and Silver Spoons, though.
WGN America will treat viewers to a holiday season chock-full of fan-favorite programming, including two America's Funniest Home Video marathons, two Cops marathons and two movie marathons for fans to enjoy, from Thanksgiving to New Year's Day. Kicking off the holidays is WGN America's live coverage of McDonald's Thanksgiving Day Parade, which leads into an array of popular series and films that wrap with a 14-hour marathon of Cops on New Year's Day. The AFV Laughsgiving Marathon featuring eight hours of America's Funniest Home Videos begins at 12 noon ET on Thanksgiving, while the AFV Ha Ha Holidays marathon featuring back to back episodes airs on Christmas Day at 9am. Movies airing on Friday, Nov. 25 are Gangs of New York, Gran Torino, The Perfect Storm, while the Very Merry Movie Marathon featuring Rio, Beverly Hills Chihuahua, Head of State airs on Christmas Eve.
