Week 8 TV Ratings and Analysis; How the Sitcoms Did

2016-17 Week 8 TV Ratings (first four nights Mon-Thu): 

Households: #1. NBC 4.65/8 rating/share (+22% in rating from first four nights week 7); #2. CBS  4.59/8 (+6%); #3. ABC 4.51/8 (-5%); #4. Fox 2.51/4 (-77%); #5. The CW 0.89/1 (-12%).
Total Viewers: #1. NBC 7.676 million (+28% from first four nights week 7); #2. CBS 7.406 million (+9%); #3. ABC 7.135 million (-4%); #4. Fox 4.072 million (-79%); #5. The CW 1.423 million (-11%).
Adults 18-49: #1. NBC 2.09/7 rating/share (+55% in rating from first four nights week 7); #2. ABC 1.73/5 (+6%); #3. CBS 1.68/5 (+42%); #4. Fox 1.25/4 (-78%); #5. The CW 0.47/1 (-16%)

We have previous week's final ratings, Week 7 (10/31/16-11/6/16, LIVE+SD). Fox of course won the week in A18-49, thanks to the World Series and did a big 3.65 rating.  NBC settled for #2 thanks with a 1.83 rating powered by SNF. CBS was #3 with a 1.68 rating boosted by an NFL overrun, while ABC did a 1.38 rating.  Among total viewers, Fox was #1 with 12.280 million, with CBS #2 at 8.683 million.  NBC was #3 with 6.869 million and ABC at #4 with 6.088 million.

For season to-date (9/19/16-11/10/16, LIVE+SD), Fox is now #1 in A18-49 with a 2.17 rating thanks to the 7-game World Series, followed by NBC at #2 with a 2.09 rating. CBS is  #3 with a 1.78 rating and ABC at #4 with a 1.41 rating. Among total viewers it is CBS #1 at 9.086 million, followed by NBC at #2 with 7.619 million, Fox dropped to #3 with 7.192 million and ABC at #4 with 5.901 million.
