Week 9 TV Ratings and Analysis; How the Sitcoms Did

2016-17 Week 9 TV Ratings (first four nights Mon-Thu): 

Households: #1. NBC 5.45/9 rating/share (+17% in rating from first four nights week 8); #2. CBS  5.23/9 (+14%); #3. ABC 4.15/7 (-8%); #4. Fox 2.47/4 (-2%); #5. The CW 1.06/2 (+19%).
Total Viewers: #1. NBC 8.804 million (+15% from first four nights week 8); #2. CBS 8.234 million (+12%); #3. ABC 6.413 million (-10%); #4. Fox 3.938 million (-3%); #5. The CW 1.697 million (+19%).
Adults 18-49: #1. NBC 2.26/8 rating/share (+8% in rating from first four nights week 8); #2. ABC 1.48/5 (-14%); #3. CBS 1.41/5 (-16%); #4. Fox 1.25/4 (even); #5. The CW 0.60/2 (+28%)

We have previous week's final ratings, Week 8 (11/7/16-11/13/16, LIVE+SD). NBC won the week in A18-49, boosted by SNF, and did a 2.43 rating.  Fox was #2 with a 1.78 rating powered by an NFL overrun. CBS was #3 with a 1.49 rating, while ABC did a 1.45 rating.  Among total viewers, NBC was #1 with 8.439 million, with CBS #2 at 8.008 million.  ABC was #3 with 6.012 million and Fox at #4 with 5.478 million.

For season to-date (9/19/16-11/17/16, LIVE+SD), NBC is back now #1 in A18-49 with a 2.14 rating, followed by Fox at #2 with a 2.13 rating, which is heavily inflated by a high 7-game World Series. CBS is  #3 with a 1.73 rating and ABC at #4 with a 1.40 rating. Among total viewers it is CBS #1 at 9.016 million, followed by NBC at #2 with 7.791 million, World Series boosted Fox still at #3 with 6.995 million and ABC at #4 with 5.868 million.
