ABC Family Adds More Boy Meets World; black-ish Cast Celebrates the Oscars
Starting Monday, March 2, 2015, ABC Family will air an additional block of Boy Meets World. The additional airings will air in a 2-hour block from 12am-2am Monday through Friday with four episodes a night. It replaces two airings of the drama Gilmore Girls. This move is not removing any show, though, as Gilmore Girls will continue to air in the daytime at 11am and 12 noon, while Boy Meets World will continue to air in early evening from 5-7pm (sometimes the full two-hour block doesn't air due to original encores). The rest of the ABC Family regular schedule will remain as is, such as That '70s Show from 7-9am, The Middle in the 9am half-hour and a block from 1-3pm, and Reba from 3-5pm. And of course sister network Disney Channel is airing the new revival series Girl Meets World, which is currently in its first season, airing on Friday nights. Keep it right here for continued updates.
The cast of ABC's hit comedy, black-ish, paid a delightful tribute to memorable dance moments from the movies in a promo that aired during last night's telecast of the 87th Oscars(R) on ABC. In the promo, Dre (Anthony Anderson) challenged youngest son, Jack (10-year-old Miles Brown, a real-life professional dancer), to prove he can indeed do any dance from any movie. The youngster happily proved he can duplicate those moves and his family shouted out movie titles to him that included Footloose, West Side Story and Flashdance. Jack didn't disappoint as he strutted his stuff to some of the most beloved movie dance images etched into the public consciousness. The big finish came when Jack was challenged to do "Fred Astaire." He went above and beyond by recreating the famous dance up the wall and onto the ceiling from Royal Wedding, which was shot using the same ground-breaking technique as in the 1951 film classic. black-ish of course airs Wednesdays at 9:30pm on the ABC Television Network.
