The 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards nominees have been announced! HBO leads with 12 (down 5 from last year) nominations. Showtime follows with 8 (up two from last year). Fox shares the lead with CBS among the broadcast nominees with 6 each this year, followed by NBC with 4 and ABC with 3. Glee was nominated 5 times, for the most of any program. Modern Family and 30 Rock were nominated 3 times. The telecast airs Sunday, Jan. 16, 8-11pm ET on NBC. Here are the major nominees:

BEST TELEVISION SERIES – COMEDY OR MUSICAL
30 Rock (NBC)
The Big Bang Theory (CBS)
The Big C (Showtime)
Glee (Fox)

BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS IN A TELEVISION SERIES – COMEDY OR MUSICAL
Toni Collette, United States of Tara (Showtime)
Edie Falco, Nurse Jackie (Showtime)
Tina Fey, 30 Rock (NBC)
Laura Linney, The Big C (Showtime)
Lea Michelle, Glee (Fox)

Alec Baldwin, 30 Rock (NBC)
Steve Carell, The Office (NBC)
Thomas Jane, Hung (HBO)
Matthew Morrison, Glee (Fox)

BEST TELEVISION SERIES – DRAMA
Boardwalk Empire, (HBO)
Dexter (Showtime)
The Good Wife (CBS)
Mad Men (AMC)
The Walking Dead (AMC)

Elisabeth Moss, Mad Men (AMC)
Piper Perabo, Covert Affairs (USA Network)
Katey Sagal, Sons of Anarchy (FX)

Steve Buscemi, Boardwalk Empire (HBO)
Bryan Cranston, Breaking Bad (AMC)
Michael C. Hall, Dexter (Showtime)

Jane Lynch, Glee (Fox)
Kelly McDonald, Boardwalk Empire (HBO)

Scott Caan, Hawaii Five-0 (CBS)
Chris Colfer, Glee (Fox)
Chris Noth, The Good Wife (CBS)

The CW Network announced its mid-season schedule, with the majority of the network's primetime schedule returning with original episodes the week of January 24, including a new night for freshman drama Hellcats. The network also announced the premiere of an all-new cycle of America's Next Top Model and the series premiere of reality series Shedding for the Wedding.
The CW's primetime schedule returns from holiday break with an all-new slate of original episodes the week of January 24, beginning Monday night with original episodes of 90210 and Gossip Girls. Beginning Tuesday, January 25, Hellcats cheers for a new night, Tuesdays at 9 p.m., following new episodes of One Tree Hill. A special season finale of Life UneXpected will air back-to-back episodes on Tuesday, January 18 to close its season and to make room for Hellcats' new night.
America's Next Top Model returns to the catwalk on The CW Wednesday, February 23 with an all-new Cycle 16, followed by the series premiere of Shedding for the Wedding, hosted by Sara Rue (Less than Perfect, Eastwick), February 23 at 9 p.m. The series has an eight episode order and will last through mid-April. And finally, Thursdays and Fridays remain intact with tentpole dramas The Vampire Diaries and Smallville leading off Thursdays and Fridays, respectively, followed by Nikita and Supernatural, all with new episodes starting Jan. 27 and Jan. 28.
Still no sitcoms on The CW, which is sad. Let's hope we some in 2011-2012 at least!

And for some blog news, we should have our interview with Antenna TV posted either tomorrow or Thursday, depending on if we can get a Me-TV interview also done, as that network goes national tomorrow (but only in Chicago, Milwaukee and South Bend). So stay tuned!
