WGN America Schedules Munsters Halloween Marathon; Fox Picks Up Raising Hope For Full Season
This is the second Halloween marathon for the series, as we mentioned last month, Hallmark Channel is airing a Munsters Halloween marathon on Halloween day also. We reported the marathon would air from 6am-4pm, but now the time has changed to 8am-6pm, with the 1967 movie Mad Monster Party now airing at 6am rather than 4pm. Following The Munsters on Hallmark will still be the planned The Addams Family marathon from 6pm-3am.
So if you are a fan of The Munsters, you will have two networks airing the series on Halloween! From 10am-6pm ET, both networks will air it at the same time, with Hallmark airing it by themselves from 8am-10am and WGN America from 6pm-7pm ET. Get two TV's out for this one, folks!
View the episode info for WGN America's The Munsters Halloween marathon. And we also now have episode info for Hallmark's marathon, which could be unedited (for The Munsters only) because the times are a bit off (or is it more commercial time?). We have news on the first new series picked-up for the full season. It's a show you didn't expect to get picked-up first, too. Fox has ordered an additional nine episodes of the critically acclaimed new comedy Raising Hope, bringing the series to a full-season order. The series hasn't done gangbusters in the ratings, though. Fox is being patient and showing confidence in the series.
The series airs Tuesdays at 9:00pm after Glee, so it certainly gets sampled, but the ratings are just OK. Fox will test the show even more by airing two episodes on Tuesday, October 26 in its regular 9pm timeslot and also at a special time of 9:30pm, replacing struggling new comedy Running Wilde for that week. Another test will come the week prior on Tuesday, Oct. 19, when Glee is a repeat but Raising Hope is all-new at 9pm.
Created by Emmy Award winner Greg Garcia, Raising Hope follows the Chance family as they find themselves adding an unexpected new member into their household. The series stars Lucas Neff, Martha Plimpton, Garret Dillahunt and Shannon Woodward. Cloris Leachman guest-stars regularly as Maw Maw.
