More Last Minute TV Land Schedule Changes; 'Hee Haw' Coming to CMT
Now to today's news...TV Land has made yet another last minute schedule change. This change will be starting on Monday (July 24). They are revamping their 5-8pm line-up and early morning line-up 4-5:30am. Two episodes of Good Times will replace All in the Family/Sanford & Son from 5-6pm, while Leave it to Beaver and Andy Griffith move up an hour from 7-8pm to 6-7pm, replacing The Munsters/Green Acres hour--which didn't do so well. Ratings hit Little House on the Prairie will air at 7pm now and will continue to air in its regular 8pm slot as well--so back to back episodes. As for early mornings, TV Land will encore the 11p-12a Three's Company episodes from 4-5a replacing Dick Van Dyke/I Love Lucy. Lucy will move to 5am replacing The Munsters. Three's Company is a ratings smash for the network. Dick Van Dyke is expiring after August and will only be down to one slot now. The Munsters is expiring at the end of October, and from the looks of these changes, it doesn't look like they will renew it. Finally, The Munsters mini-marathon on Saturday nights for the summer will be replaced by Murphy Brown, which comes over from Nick@Nite. You can view the full list of changes for the July 24 line-up HERE.
Hee Haw, the classic country comedy series, makes its triumphant return to television for the first time in almost 10 years on CMT. Featuring some of country music's biggest stars, the episodes cover the show's entire run from 1969 through 1991. One of the most popular and longest-running variety shows in television history, Hee Haw is as iconic as its longtime co-hosts, Buck Owens and Roy Clark. From the infamous cornfield jokes to the donkey's wild lines, Hee Haw solidified its place in American culture, reveling in its Southern twang and humor. Tune in Saturday, July 29 from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. and you'll even see Reba McEntire before she had her own sitcom! Episodes airing are:
5:00PM George Strait / Statler Brothers 1983
6:00PM George Jones and Tammy Wynette 1974
7:00PM Connie Smith/Hank Williams, Jr. 1978
