Remembering TV Legend Larry Hagman of I Dream of Jeannie, Dallas; Town Hall Event with Betty White, Hosted by Regis
Legendary actor Larry Hagman, best known for playing Major Anthony "Tony" Nelson in I Dream of Jeannie and J.R. Ewing in Dallas, has died. He died on November 23 at Medical City Dallas Hospital in Dallas from complications of throat cancer. Mr. Hagman was 81.
Hagman's television career began with guest appearances in Decoy, Goodyear Playhouse, Studio One in Hollywood, Search for Tomorrow, Kraft Theatre, Harbormaster, Sea Hunt, The Defenders and The Rogues. He appeared in the daytime soap opera The Edge of Night as Ed Gibson for two years from 1961-1963. In 1965, he landed the role of befuddled astronaut Air Force Captain (later Major) Anthony "Tony" Nelson in I Dream of Jeannie. The series was about a 2000-year-old genie named Jeannie who falls in love and later marries her master. The popular NBC sitcom, co-starring Barbara Eden, Bill Daily and Hayden Rorke, ran for five seasons and 139 episodes. Hagman didn't appear in the two television reunion movies: I Dream of Jeannie: 15 Years Later in 1985 or I Still Dream of Jeannie in 1991. He said that five years of the series was enough for him. He did reunite with Eden several times on The Donny and Marie Show, Larry King Live and at the TV Land Awards in 2004.
His next sitcom role was in the The Good Life. The short-lived 1971-1972 NBC series, which co-starred Donna Mills, was about a middle-class American couple who decide to work as the live-in butler and cook for a wealthy family. In 1973, he starred with Diane Baker, Dick Gauthier and Leslie Graves in the ABC sitcom Here We Go Again. The series about the post-divorce life of two couples ran for 13 episodes. Some of his many other television guest appearances included Love, American Style, Rod Serling's Night Gallery, Dan August, The Name of the Game, Medical Story, Police Woman, McCloud, Police Story, Lucas Tanner, Marcus Welby, M.D., Harry O, Ellery Queen, The Streets of San Francisco, Barnaby Jones, McMillan and Wife and The Rockford Files. In 1997, he starred in the short-lived CBS drama Orleans. In 2011, he appeared in two episodes of Desperate Housewives as the husband of Lynette Scavo's mother. He also directed episodes of I Dream of Jeannie, The Good Life, Dallas and In the Heat of the Night.
Hagman's signature role came in 1977 when he was offered the role of ruthless oil baron J.R. Ewing in Dallas. The popular primetime soap opera ran for 14 seasons and 357 episodes from 1978-1991 on CBS. He was the only actor to appear in all 357 episodes of the series. In the 1980 third season cliffhanger finale, there was a big mystery of who shot J.R. two times. The November 1980 episode where the assailant was identified was watched by an estimated 80 million viewers that set a ratings record at the time. Hagman received two Emmy Awards nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 1980 and 1981. He didn't win, but the show did receive four Emmy Awards. He also received four Golden Globe Awards nominations from 1981 to 1985. Hagman made five guest appearances as J.R. Ewing on the Dallas spin-off series Knots Landing in 1980-1982. He also returned for the two Dallas television reunion movies: 1996's J.R. Returns and 1998's War of the Ewings. In 2012, he starred in the TNT revival series Dallas, which continued the story of the Ewing family. Hagman had completed 6 of 15 episodes for the upcoming second season. His death will be incorporated into the storyline. The second season is scheduled to premiere on January 28, 2013.
The Archive of American Television conducted an extensive interview with him on December 7, 2004, to discuss his life and career. Survivors include his wife, Maj; daughter, Heidi; and son, Preston. Mr. Hagman was a true television icon and legend. J.R. Ewing was a character you loved to hate. He played one of the all-time greatest television villains to perfection. We thank him for all of the entertainment he brought us over the years. He will be greatly missed.

Sirius XM Radio announced that iconic comedic actress Betty White will sit down with SiriusXM listeners for a special Q&A session/broadcast event hosted by legendary entertainer Regis Philbin, who is her longtime friend and a recurring star on her hit TV Land sitcom Hot in Cleveland. The special SiriusXM's Town Hall with Betty White will take place at SiriusXM's New York City studios in celebration of the fourth season of Hot in Cleveland, which premieres November 28 at 10:00 pm ET/PT on TV Land. White will answer a variety of questions from an intimate studio audience of SiriusXM listeners about her life, work and the award-winning cable series.
SiriusXM's Town Hall with Betty White will air on Wednesday, November 28 at 10:00 am ET (12 hours before the premiere of Hot in Cleveland on TV Land) on SiriusXM Stars channel 107. Encore presentations will air on SiriusXM Stars on Friday, November 30 at 7:00 pm; Saturday, December 1 at 6:00 pm and Sunday, December 2 at 11:00 am (all times ET). SiriusXM's Town Hall with Betty White will also air on SiriusXM OutQ channel 108 on November 30 at 10:00 am.

Remembering Sherman Hemsley, The Jeffersons Marathons on TV Land and TV One; TCA Summer 2012 Press Tour: NBC Day 2
Actor Sherman Hemsley, best known for his role as the cranky George Jefferson on All in the Family and The Jeffersons, and as Deacon Ernest Frye on Amen, has died. He died on July 24 at his home in El Paso, Texas, apparently of natural causes. Mr. Hemsley was 74.
Hemsley's professional acting career began as a stage actor in New York. He made his Broadway debut in Purlie in 1970 and toured with the show for a year. In 1971, Norman Lear called him and offered him the role of George Jefferson, a neighbor of the Bunkers, on All in the Family. Hemsley declined the offer because of his theatre work, but he joined the cast two years later. He made his debut as the character on October 25, 1973, in the episode "Henry's Farewell." From 1973-1975 he appeared in a total of thirteen episodes of the series, plus two additional episodes after he left for the spinoff. The Jeffersons premiered on CBS on January 18, 1975. The show became an immediate ratings hit and was one of the most successful and longest-running spinoffs in history. It ran for 11 seasons and 253 episodes. At the time of its cancellation in 1985, it was the longest-running primetime scripted series on the air. Hemsley received an Emmy nomination in 1984 and Golden Globe Award nomination in 1985. The actors on the show were nominated for Emmys a total of 13 times. His television wife, Isabel Sanford, was nominated seven times from 1979-1985 and won in 1981. Although they were twenty years apart in real life, Hemsley and Sanford had great chemistry together. They also appeared together in two episodes of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in 1995 and 1996. In the late 1990s and in the early 2000s, they appeared in a series of commercials for The Gap, Old Navy and Denny's. The cast also reunited for a Jeffersons stage-play. Hemsley and Sanford appeared at the 2nd Annual TV Land Awards in 2004. Hemsley's final credited acting appearance was as George Jefferson in a 2011 episode of Tyler Perry's House of Payne. His Jeffersons co-star Marla Gibbs also appeared in the episode as Florence Johnston.
Hemsley's second major role was on the 1986-1991 NBC sitcom Amen. He starred as the fiery Deacon Ernest Frye for five seasons. The series, which co-starred Clifton Davis, Anna Maria Horsford, Roz Ryan, Barbara Montgomery and Jester Hairston, ran for 110 episodes. Hemsley next voiced the character of B.P. Richfield, Earl Sinclair's horrifying boss, on the live-action 1991-1994 ABC sitcom Dinosaurs for four seasons. In 1996-1997, he co-starred with Dorien Wilson on the UPN sitcom Goode Behavior. Hemsley played the role of Willie Goode, a newly paroled con artist, for one season. In 2006, he was a cast member on the celebrity reality series The Surreal Life. His other television guest appearances include The Incredible Hulk, Fantasy Island, The Love Boat, E/R (1984 CBS sitcom as George Jefferson), The Twilight Zone (1985), 227, What a Dummy, Designing Women, Hangin' with Mr. Cooper, Burke's Law, Thunder in Paradise, Lois & Clark: The New Adventure of Superman, Me and the Boys, Family Matters, The Wayans Bros., In the House, Martin, Clueless, Sister, Sister, City Guys, The Hughleys, and Family Guy (voice). Hemsley's film credits include Love at First Bite, Stewardess School, Mr. Nanny, Senseless, and American Pie Presents: The Book of Love.
The Archive of American Television conducted an interview with him on August 17, 2003. No information on any survivors has been released. He never married and had no children. Mr. Hemsley was a very talented and funny actor. George Jefferson was one of the most memorable and iconic characters in the history of television. George wasn't the the most likable character, but Hemsley made him enjoyable and beloved. He's movin' on up to a deluxe apartment in the sky. He will be greatly missed.

Many networks will honor Sherman Hemsley as a tribute to him. First up, Centric will air his episodes of 227 ("The Big Deal") and The Wayans Bros. ("It's Shawn, It's Marlon, It's Super Boys") today (Wednesday, July 25) at 12 noon and 5pm ET. The Wayans Bros. episode will also encore at 9pm ET tonight. On Friday, July 27, TV One will replace this Friday's scheduled Good Times marathon with The Jeffersons from 8pm-12am and 1-2am (Good Times airs 12-1am still, though). This marathon will feature episodes centered around Sherman Hemsley's Emmy-nominated performance of George Jefferson. Episodes airing are: the series premiere "A Friend in Need," "George's First Vacation," "Movin' on Down," "Louise Suspects," "George the Philanthropist," "Once a Friend," "The Ones You Love," and "The List." An hour later from 1-2am, The Jeffersons was already scheduled to air, as was Amen from 2-3am, so the Sherman Hemsley marathon sort of continues in the late night as well! If you want more Amen, the following Friday (Aug. 3), will have Amen (which was already scheduled) from 8-11pm. Both The Jeffersons and Amen airs weekday mornings on TV One in a block from 7-9am.
Elsewhere, TV Land will have a 4-hour marathon of The Jeffersons this Saturday starting at noon ET through 4pm ET. Episode information will be released shortly. The TV Land Facebook page will also pay tribute to Hemsley, celebrating some of his greatest moments on television.
Antenna TV will commemorate the life of Sherman Hemsley this Sunday, July 29 with "All in the Family - Tribute to Sherman Hemsley." The three hour marathon will begin at 9pm ET/6pm PT and feature six George Jefferson themed episodes of All in the Family. They will include his first appearance ever as that character and The Jeffersons backdoor pilot episode that aired as an All in the Family episode.

Today it is day two for the NBC portion of the TCA Summer 2012 Press Tour. However, NBC will be showcasing their cable networks today, so we won't cover in detail. The day will start out with breakfast with the cable network mun2. Oxygen and Style will showcase some series after that, including reality series Tia & Tamera. Then it will be time for lunch and E! will be showcasing their series. Panels will follow, like for the upcoming talk show Love You, Mean It with Whitney Cummings. E! will have all sessions after lunch. So not much to report, but we do have some NBC updates from yesterday that we will cover now.
NBC will air two live half-hour Saturday Night Live Election Specials on Thursday, Sept. 20 and Thursday, Sept. 27 at 8pm ET. These were pretty popular in 2008 when Sarah Palin was in the limelight, but will it be as popular this time? As previously announced, 30 Rock will premiere on Oct. 4 in the time period. Also, NBC and Sky Living announced the co-production of Dracula, a provocative new drama series version of the classic Bram Stoker novel starring Golden Globe winner Jonathan Rhys Meyers in the title role. Dracula is from the producers behind the critically acclaimed, Emmy Award-winning hit Downton Abbey, Carnival Films & Television, along with Flame Ventures and Playground, and will begin production later this year. The 10-episode series introduces Dracula as he arrives in London, posing as an American entrepreneur who maintains that he wants to bring modern science to Victorian society. In reality, he hopes to wreak revenge on the people who ruined his life centuries earlier. There's only one circumstance that can potentially thwart his plan: Dracula falls hopelessly in love with a woman who seems to be a reincarnation of his dead wife.

Next week is the big week in the TV world--the network upfronts! And as usual, the week prior to the upfronts, we preview on what we think the networks will do! NBC and Fox are up first next Monday (May 14). We will preview NBC today and Fox tomorrow. So let's get right to it!
NBC is still looking for a series hit besides The Voice. That show returned with a bang in February after the Super Bowl but it slowly went down big, but still is NBC's top series by far.

COMMENTS: NBC once again needs major revamping and I still don't think they have any pilots that can do that. Comedy is certainly the way to go, as their drama pilots look to be weak. They still need to prove it will work on air as even buzz-worthy pilots have fizzed. It is all about scheduling and promotion and NBC has been very poor at that since about 2004. Once again they will have the Summer Olympics this summer and NBC will use that as a platform to launch new series. NBC has already picked-up new comedy Go On starring Matthew Perry and I think it will launch early after the Olympics sometime in August. Let's go over day-by-day on what I think will happen. Mondays will have a fall version of The Voice and it will be interesting to see who will return. It might be overkill to air a singing competition show like this twice a year, but NBC really needs it. At 10pm, while not doing that great, Smash is back for a second season and will likely stay put to grow the show. On Tuesdays, The Biggest Loser is likely going to switch to one edition a year, and it will probably return in early 2013 instead of this fall. NBC should air multi-camera comedies to start the night off. Perhaps the return of Roseanne and John Goodman in their new comedy followed by Jimmy Fallon produced comedy to open the night off? At 9pm, NBC could air new JJ Abrams drama Revolution right after the Olympics are over and run it through mid or late October before starting The Voice Results at 9pm. Parenthood is likely sticking at 10pm for probably half a season.
Wednesdays right now is a hot mess again, save for SVU. Perhaps two comedies to start the night off is the way to go in the fall. The final seasons of Community and 30 Rock maybe? The young-skewing comedies could lead into a new young drama like County, which is a medical drama. NBC is likely bringing back SVU at 10pm for maybe the last time? On Thursdays, the comedies are very low rated or declining like The Office. This night needs some new comedy blood. Perhaps more family flare? 1600 Penn could be a good option to lead-off. The Office is not really an anchor anymore, so it could slide down to 8:30pm, giving the new Matthew Perry sports comedy Go On a chance at 9pm. At 9:30pm, Parks & Recreation would follow for at least the fall. Perhaps the Dick Wolf drama Chicago Fire would air at 10pm and it would be promoted a lot the night before on Dick Wolf's SVU. Fridays will likely have Grimm air at 9pm. Perhaps Dateline could move to 8pm, so NBC could try a drama out of the surprise success (in Friday terms) of Grimm? Hannibal would be a good option for them at 10pm. And Saturdays is just repeats, like always.
Rounding out the fall schedule is of course NBC's fall savior Sunday Night Football and this sport keeps getting more popular every year. What would NBC do if they didn't have the NFL? Anyway even with The Voice and the Super Bowl NBC is nearly in fourth place as they have a tenth of a rating point lead right now over ABC for third place. Will that last over the next few weeks of this current season? Who knows. For next season, NBC STILL needs to find SOME other hits to even compete with CBS, Fox and ABC. There is no Super Bowl for them next season to save their season. Go with family fare comedies or comedies in general and perhaps NBC will see a bit of a rise next season.
Remember, next Monday (May 14) is the actual date when we will find out NBC's plans for the 2012-13 season. Veteran character actor George Lindsey, best known for his role as Goober Pyle on The Andy Griffith Show, Mayberry R.F.D. and Hee Haw, has died. Lindsey died early Sunday morning (May 6) in Nashville, TN, after a brief illness. Mr. Lindsey was 83.
NBC is still looking for a series hit besides The Voice. That show returned with a bang in February after the Super Bowl but it slowly went down big, but still is NBC's top series by far.

At 9:30pm, Parks & Recreation would follow for at least the fall. Perhaps the Dick Wolf drama Chicago Fire would air at 10pm and it would be promoted a lot the night before on Dick Wolf's SVU. Fridays will likely have Grimm air at 9pm. Perhaps Dateline could move to 8pm, so NBC could try a drama out of the surprise success (in Friday terms) of Grimm? Hannibal would be a good option for them at 10pm. And Saturdays is just repeats, like always.
Rounding out the fall schedule is of course NBC's fall savior Sunday Night Football and this sport keeps getting more popular every year. What would NBC do if they didn't have the NFL? Anyway even with The Voice and the Super Bowl NBC is nearly in fourth place as they have a tenth of a rating point lead right now over ABC for third place. Will that last over the next few weeks of this current season? Who knows. For next season, NBC STILL needs to find SOME other hits to even compete with CBS, Fox and ABC. There is no Super Bowl for them next season to save their season. Go with family fare comedies or comedies in general and perhaps NBC will see a bit of a rise next season.
Remember, next Monday (May 14) is the actual date when we will find out NBC's plans for the 2012-13 season. Veteran character actor George Lindsey, best known for his role as Goober Pyle on The Andy Griffith Show, Mayberry R.F.D. and Hee Haw, has died. Lindsey died early Sunday morning (May 6) in Nashville, TN, after a brief illness. Mr. Lindsey was 83.
Lindsey appeared as the grinning Goober Pyle on television for nearly 30 years. He got his big break in television in 1964 when he guest starred as the slow-witted but kindly Goober Beasley in the fifth season of The Andy Griffith Show. The character's name was later changed to Goober Pyle. It was established that he was the cousin of Gomer Pyle played by Jim Nabors. Jim Nabors and George Lindsey appeared in only one episode of The Andy Griffith Show together: Fun Girls. When Jim Nabors left to do the spin-off series Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. in 1964, the beanie-wearing Goober became a regular character. Lindsey appeared in 86 episodes of the show from 1964 until 1968 when it left the air. In 1965, he appeared in an episode of Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. called A Visit from Cousin Goober. He continued to appear as the character in 44 episodes of The Andy Griffith Show spin-off series Mayberry R.F.D. from 1968-1971. In 1971, he appeared in an episode of The New Andy Griffith Show on CBS. From 1972-1992 he appeared as Goober Pyle in 44 episodes of the country music variety program Hee Haw. His other Goober Pyle portrayals included the 1978 television movie Goober & the Truckers Paradise and the 1986 television reunion movie Return to Mayberry.
He had a number of other television and film roles during his career. His television guest appearances included The Rifleman, The Great Adventure, Twilight Zone, The Tycoon, Daniel Boone, The Alfred Hitchcock Hour, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Gunsmoke, Banacek, Love, American Style, Movin' On, M*A*S*H, Fantasy Island, CHiPs and NewsRadio. Lindsey's film roles included Cannonball Run II and Take This Job and Shove It. He voiced characters in the Walt Disney animated films The Aristocats, Robin Hood and The Rescuers.
Lindsey was born in Fairfield, AL and raised in Jasper, AL. He helped raise over $1,000,000 for the Alabama Special Olympics during a 17-year period by hosting an annual celebrity golf tournament in Montgomery, AL. He established and perpetuated the George Lindsey Academic Scholarships at University of North Alabama. In 1992, the University of North Alabama awarded him an honorary doctorate. Goober Pyle was such a likable character who made everyone laugh. Mr. Lindsey was a fine actor and an even better man for his kindness and generosity over the years. He will be deeply missed.

Me-TV Network and Me-Too in Chicago Celebrate New Year's With Marathons/Stunts
The Me-TV Network and the local station in Chicago Me-Too (WMEU) will celebrate the end of 2010 and the beginning of 2011 with some marathons and stunts! The Me-TV Network will air a marathon of first episodes in a stunt called "Day of Firsts" on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011. The first episodes marathons begins at 11am ET with Perry Mason. Other first episodes include The Streets of San Francisco, The Big Valley, Hawaii Five-O, Hogan's Heroes, Happy Days, Family Affair, The Brady Bunch, The Beverly Hillbillies, Gomer Pyle, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Cheers, M*A*S*H and Taxi. The 12-hour marathon concludes at 11pm ET. The Me-TV Network is available now nationally, but as of now is only in Chicago, Milwaukee and South Bend. We hope to bring you some affiliate news in 2011, so stay with us, as it isn't easy.
Moving on to local station Me-Too in Chicago, Three Stooges fans in Chicago can ring in the new year on Me-Too with a 12-hour "Stooge-A-Palooza" marathon on Friday, December 31, 2010 beginning at noon CT. The marathon will be hosted by Rich Koz, who will also host a midnight countdown from Chicago's original Stooge headquarters! Each title was selected by Rich, who wanted to air episodes that are fan favorites. Plus, watch throughout the marathon for special segments with Rich, featuring his wit and wisdom about the Stooges! Ring in 2011 with Rich and The Stooges! Meanwhile, turn to Me-Too on New Year's Day for The Andy Griffith-thon, beginning at 11 AM CT on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011 for timeless Mayberry classics! From Aunt Bee's pickles to Barney's single bullet, these are some of the most popular titles in the series. The 12-hour marathon will conclude at 11pm CT. The Andy Griffith Show is regularly scheduled weekdays at 12 & 12:30 PM CT and Stooge-A-Palooza is regularly scheduled Saturday evenings at 7:00 PM, both on Me-Too Chicago. Try and test ivi TV out for a month at least, it is free for the first month and you can cancel at anytime. I don't think you should watch your favorite primetime network shows on here, but it is a good service with decent (but not great) video quality if you want to test something like Me-TV and Antenna TV, especially if your markets are not carrying them. I certainly enjoyed testing out Me-TV Network this weekend and watching cool local fare on Me-Too Chicago (like Gilligan's Island) and KTLA Los Angeles (like Dennis the Menace on the Antenna TV preview on KTLA).
NBC is previewing upcoming mid-season single-camera sitcom Perfect Couples tonight (Dec. 20) with a special airing after the finale of The Sing-Off, which airs from 8-10pm. NBC will not air the pilot of the sitcom, instead a later episode (titled "Perfect Tens") will air. The series will still premiere with the pilot episode on its actual premiere date on Thursday, Jan. 20 at 8:30pm. Tonight NBC is just going to have viewers "sample" the series. The sampling preview airs tonight at 10pm on NBC. A repeat of The Office will follow at 10:29pm.
Perfect Couples depicts the misadventures of three engaging couples as they struggle to find out what makes the ideal relationship -- and how to maintain it through humorous trial-and-error. The series explores their heroic journey in search of the perfect relationship without destroying each other in the process.
Dave (Kyle Bornheimer, Worst Week, Romantically Challenged) and Julia (Christine Woods, FLASHFORWARD) are the relatable, normal couple, but Julia's hope of remaining the cool, low-maintenance chick is tested by Dave's attempts to keep both his wife and his needy best friend Vance (David Walton, 100 Questions) equally happy. Vance, along with the neurotic Amy (Mary Elizabeth Ellis, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"), are the high-passion, high-drama couple who bring out the best and worst in each other. The third duo features Rex (Hayes MacArthur, She's Out of My League), a reformed party guy, and, and his wife, Leigh (Olivia Munn, Attack of the Show), who considers herself as the group's mother hen. Believing that they are relationship experts, Rex and Leigh have attended every class and seminar on relationships -- and regard themselves as the "perfect couple."
On tonight's episode, after Dave (Kyle Bornheimer) is disappointed that Julia (Christine Woods) dresses down for him, they both decide to be "perfect 10s" and live it up with a night out. Meanwhile, an infestation of bed bugs misleads Amy (Mary Elizabeth Ellis) into thinking that Vance (David Walton) is not ready to commit to her, while Rex (Hayes MacArthur) and Leigh (Olivia Munn) plan an Italian vacation and struggle trying to adjust to the time difference.
We did not get a review copy of this episode, but we will have a review of the pilot episode closer to series launch on Jan. 20. So stay tuned! Updates on Me-TV National Network, Plus Local Me-TV/Me-Too; Sitcom Stars on Talk Shows (Week of December 13, 2010)
A couple of weeks ago we announced that Me-TV would be going national and now we have an update on that! Me-TV Network was originally slated to launch this past Wednesday (Dec. 8), but now it will launch next week on Wednesday, Dec. 15.
But first we have gotten a lot of questions on what will happen to the local Me-TV in Chicago and the local Me-TV in Milwaukee as a result of this new national network? Chicago will get the national Me-TV Network feed come December 15, therefore Me-TV Chicago feed will no longer be needed. However starting Dec. 15, sister station Me-Too in Chicago will join forces with the local Me-TV Chicago feed and will air the shows that the national Me-TV Network doesn't have national rights to on its schedule (which includes shows even from Sony Pictures Television), on the new Me-Too in Chicago. As we know, the national Me-TV Network will primarily air the CBS Paramount and 20th Century Fox series. Chicago's Me-Too will now air the comedies you loved on Me-TV Chicago as well as the dramas you currently love on Me-Too. View the schedule for the new Me-Too in Chicago starting Dec. 15. So for you in Chicago, it's time to rescan for new channels, so you know where everything is. The national Me-TV Network (no longer local Me-TV) will be on 26.3, the new Me-Too (combines local Me-TV and Me-Too) will be on 26.4, while MGM's THIS tv moves to the new 26.5. Launching Wednesday, January 5 will be The U Too, which we mentioned before, but now it will be on channel 26.2. View their launch schedule.
Milwaukee will also turn its local Me-TV station into the national Me-TV Network feed come Dec. 15. Then in first quarter 2011, they will add a Me-Too in Milwaukee, so all of the current shows you all like in Milwaukee that currently air on Me-TV Milwaukee but won't air on the national network, will return. We will have the schedule for Me-Too Milwaukee closer to launch. Me-TV airs on channel 49 in Milwaukee and looks like will remain that way with the national network.
Finally, for the rest of us, Me-TV Network will launch Dec. 15. Affiliate info is still not known, but we have learned that MGM will be handling distribution for the network, like they do with THIS tv. So stay with us for more! We will bring you the affiliate listings as soon as we know, but they won't be announced soon. They are just getting started and in most markets have a couple of options that have to be explored and negotiated. So they are not in a rush, and hope people understand this takes more than "flipping a switch" for a broadcaster to commit to programming, says Me-TV. So, Chicago, Milwaukee and I think South Bend are among the stations launching the national Me-TV Dec. 15. We'll keep you updated as MGM announces affiliates for Me-TV Network, but you can do you part by calling/emailing your local stations to add Me-TV Network to their digital substations! It will make a difference!
Since we mentioned THIS tv above (another digital substation), I'd like to mention that they recently started an animation block on weekday mornings with Heathcliff, Tex Avery, Inspector Gadget, and Pink Panther among the series they air from 7am-9am. Saturday mornings has an E/I series block which includes shows like The Busy World of Richard Scarry. A Sunday morning block has Sonic Underground, Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Evolution, and Stargate Infinity starting at 8am. We already knew they air sitcoms The Patty Duke Show and Mister Ed every weekday mornings in the 6am hour, as we mentioned back in 2008 on their launch story. Among the other series they air are Sea Hunt, Highway Patrol, The Outer Limits, Stargate SG-1, and Bat Masterson. The schedule consist mainly of MGM films.
THIS tv will be airing two Pink Panther animated specials: the 1980 special Olym-pinks on Tuesday, Dec. 14 at 10am followed by the 1978 holiday special A Pink Christmas at 10:30am. The latter also airs on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 7:30pm.

Me-TV and Me-Too Chicago Fall 2010 Schedules; Remembering Character Actor Harold Gould
Me-TV and Me-Too Chicago has announced their fall schedules and will continue to roll in classic TV series. The fall schedules will start on Monday, Sept. 27 for both stations. New to Me-TV will be E! True Hollywood Story airing weekdays at 4am. Returning to the Me-TV schedule are The Bob Newhart Show, The Addams Family, The Courtship of Eddie's Father, and The Flying Nun, but with shows returning, some shows are leaving: The Bernie Mac Show, Gimme a Break!, The Odd Couple, The Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres, Petticoat Junction, My Three Sons, The Munsters, The Honeymooners, 3rd Rock From the Sun, Burns and Allen, The Jack Benny Show, The Phil Silvers Show, McHale's Navy, Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C., Laverne & Shirley, Happy Days, Family Ties and Made in Hollywood: Teen Edition. Me-TV rolls shows in and out each season, so you can expect some of these back by winter or spring. Among the highlights for Me-TV's fall schedule are now Who's the Boss? and Diff'rent Strokes now airing weekdays (10am-11am and 2am CT respectively). Harold Gould, a veteran character actor who played Martin, Valerie Harper's father on Rhoda and Miles, Betty White's boyfriend on The Golden Girls, has died. He died Saturday (September 11, 2010) of prostate cancer. Over five decades, he made scores of appearances on shows such as The Donna Reed, Dennis the Menace, Route 66, Alfred Hitchcock Hour, Twilight Zone, Man from U.N.C.L.E., Mister Ed, Perry Mason, Jack Benny, Hazel, That Girl, Get Smart, The Fugitive, The Flying Nun, I Dream of Jeannie, Here Come the Brides, Hogan's Heroes, Columbo, Mannix, The Partridge Family, New Dick Van Dyke Show, Lotsa Luck, Gunsmoke, Hawaii Five-0, SOAP, The Love Boat, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Rockford Files, Webster, Night Court, Empty Nest, Dallas, Dinosaurs, Lois & Clark, Felicity, The King of Queens, Touched by an Angel, Judging Amy, Cold Case, and most recently Nip/Tuck.
He played the father, Howard Cunningham, in a 1972 segment of Love, American Style, titled "Love and Happy Days," which led to the series Happy Days. But before the series went into production, Gould went abroad to do a play, and Tom Bosley was cast for the series role and the rest is history.
Mr. Gould will be deeply missed. He was truly a great character actor and his roles on Rhoda/Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Golden Girls will never be forgotten. Mr. Gould was 86.

Me-TOO Chicago A-Team Marathon and New Summer Schedule Along with Me-TV; NBC Summer Schedule Update
And beginning this Monday (June 14), both Me-TV and Me-TOO are refreshing their schedules. They are the cool place to be for hot dramas and comedy classics, now with some 'Summer of Me' additions to their warm weather line up. Summer is sure going to sizzle on these stations!
A classic not seen in decades is coming to Me-TOO this Monday! They've got M-Squad! Chicago is the town, Lee Marvin is the cop, Me-TOO is the place! Beginning Monday, catch the Chicago police drama weeknights at 10 PM on Me-TOO. Among the other series airing on Me-TOO are Charlie's Angels, Batman, Hawaii Five-0 and Knight Rider.
Among the series airing on Me-TV will be Bewitched, Maude, Gilligan's Island, Leave it to Beaver, One Day at a Time, Silver Spoons, Family Ties, and The Nanny.

Finally, NBC has made some changes to their summer schedule. The most notable change for us was the Thursday night comedy repeat line-up. They will have a marathon of repeats of Community on Thursday, July 8 from 8pm-11pm. 100 Questions will have its final broadcast on July 1, so a new line-up will be starting. On July 15 that is when the new line-up will start with repeats of The Office now kicking off the night at 8pm, followed by a repeat of Community at a new time of 8:30pm, another repeat of The Office in its regular 9pm time, followed by a repeat of Parks & Recreation on a new time of 9:30pm. The 10pm hour will have comedy repeats as well, with repeats of 30 Rock at a new time of 10pm and another Community repeat at 10:30pm. This schedule will run through Sept. 2. There will also be a marathon of repeats of Parks and Recreation on Thursday, Aug. 19 from 8-11pm.
Among the other changes are reality series Losing it with Jillian moving from 10pm to 8pm on Tuesdays starting next week.

Remembering Dixie Carter; Hallmark Channel Changes Starting April 14; Me-TV and Me-Too (Chicago) Updates
Carter was born in McLemoresville, TN on May 25, 1939. She made her professional stage debut in a Memphis production of Carousel in 1960. In 1963, she moved to New York City and got a part in a production of Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale. After taking a break from acting, she had a role on One Life to Live in 1974. From 1974-1976, she appeared on the daytime soap opera The Edge of Night as Assistant District Attorney Olivia Brandeis Henderson. Her first sitcom role was in On Our Own from 1977-1978 on CBS. The series also starred Lynnie Greene, Bess Armstrong and Gretchen Wyler. Later she appeared on the short-lived ABC sitcom Out of the Blue which lasted for 8 episodes. In 1982-1983, she appeared as Carlotta Beck on the CBS sitcom Filthy Rich. One of her co-stars was Delta Burke. The series was created by Linda Bloodworth-Thomason who went on to create Designing Women and cast her in that. Her next major role was as Maggie McKinney, the girlfriend and later the wife of Philip Drummond, on Diff'rent Strokes for 28 episodes from 1984-1985. When the show moved to ABC for the final season in 1985-1986, she was replaced by Mary Ann Mobley. In 1986, the long-running Designing Women began and produced 163 episodes over 7 seasons. Her real-life husband, Hal Holbrook, had a recurring role as her boyfriend, Reese Watson, on the show. They were married on May 27, 1984.
She had several other television roles after the series ended. In 1999-2000, she appeared as Peaches in 9 episodes of Ladies Man with Alfred Molina, Sharon Lawrence and Betty White. From 1999-2002, she played Randy King on the legal drama Family Law. Her last major TV role was as Gloria Hodge, the surly mother-in-law to Marcia Cross's Bree and mother of Kyle MacLachlan's Orson on Desperate Housewives. She was nominated for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her seven-episode stint in 2007. Some of her other television credits included Cassie & Co., Bret Maverick, Best of the West, Quincy, M.E., The Greatest American Hero, Lou Grant, Crazy Like a Fox, Christy, Diagnosis: Murder, Fired Up and Hope & Faith.
In addition to her television series roles, she also appeared in some television movies and theatrical films. She met her husband Hal Holbrook while making the TV movie The Killing of Randy Webster. Some of her other credits included Going Beserk, Gambler V: Playing for Keeps, The Big Day and Comfort and Joy. Her final project was the 2009 independent film That Evening Sun, which was filmed on location with Holbrook in East Tennessee in the summer of 2008. In 2006, she published a memoir titled Trying to Get to Heaven, in which she talked about her life with Holbrook and working on Designing Women. She also appeared in commercials for The Real Yellow Pages and Coffeemate.
Besides Holbrook, Carter is survived by daughters Mary Dixie and Ginna, a sister, Melba Helen Heath and several nephews and nieces. We will miss her unmistakable Southern accent, style and grace. As we reported last month, The Hallmark Channel added some Martha Stewart programming at the end of March. Now the weekday schedule is getting another makeover starting Wednesday. A number of shows will be shuffled to different times. Little House on the Prairie and Touched By An Angel will be returning to the lineup.

Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is replacing Full House on The N from 10pm-12am tonight (Thursday) and tomorrow night (Friday) only. This will likely be the last airings of Fresh Prince on the network, as by Sept. 14 it will be on ABC Family and Disney XD weekday evenings. Fresh Prince has already left Nick at Nite since last week.
Full House is still airing 8pm-10pm these nights that Fresh airs 10pm-12am and also 8pm-12am from Sept. 7-11. For that week, Full House was originally slated for 8pm-10pm only with Degrassi 10p-12am, so it has been extended a bit. The series airs regularly 6-7am starting Sept. 7.
In other The N news, Nick at Nite's original series Glenn Martin, DDS will air again on The N all next week (Sept. 7-11) at 2am. Stay with us for the schedule when The N turns into TeenNick on Sept. 28!

ABC Family Fall 2009; Me-Too August 2009 Daily Marathons; Summer 2009 TCA Tour: The CW
Elsewhere on ABC Family, The Secret Life of the American Teenager has its mid-season finale on Monday, Sept. 7 at 8pm. An all-day marathon will lead into it from 11am-8pm. 10 Things I Hate About You has its season finale the next night on Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 8pm. Lincoln Heights will have its season four premiere on Monday, Sept. 14 at 8pm, as Greek continues to air new season three episodes at 9pm. Ruby & the Rockits will air repeats at 8pm leading into new episodes at 8:30pm on Sept. 15 and 22, with the season finale on Sept. 22 at 8:30pm. AFV will air Tuesdays in primetime from 8-11pm starting Sept. 29, shifting the movie to Wednesdays 8-10pm starting Sept. 30. ABC Pulls Motherhood, Doubles Up On Samantha Who; Me-Too July Marathons; Nick at Nite's 2nd Quarter Ratings
No word if In The Motherhood will burn-off its final two episodes on another night, but we will certainly let you know. In other ABC updates, ABC has confirmed that the final two scheduled Sunday airings of Just for Laughs will also be at 7:30pm ET/PT on Sundays (July 5 and 12) like it was this past week. An abbreviated repeat of AFV will serve as its lead-in, before going back to its full-hour on July 19. Not sure how many episodes Just for Laughs has this third season, but only four were scheduled to air even before it started airing.

As you can see, each week there is a theme. First week is super heroes, then dramas, crime solving, family, and westerns.

Nick at Nite closes second quarter as the number-one basic cable network with Women 18-49 in total day, averaging a 0.8 rating in this demo (448,000 viewers W18-49). Driven by hits like George Lopez, Nick at Nite also ranks as the number-two cable network with Adults 18-49 (behind only USA Network) for the quarter, averaging a 0.6 rating in this demo (668,000 viewers A18-49) and 1.5 million total viewers.
George Lopez is the network's highest-rated program in second quarter, and has posted ratings growth since the show launched in September 2007. George Lopez averages a 0.6 rating in A18-49 (678,000 viewers A18-49) at 10 p.m. for the quarter and has posted gains of 20% with Adults 18-49 launch to date. George Lopez can be seen on Nick at Nite everynight at 10 p.m. and it will be moving to weeknights at 9 p.m. next week.
In prime time (9-11 p.m. ET/PT), Nick at Nite averages a 0.6 A18-49 rating and 1.6 million total viewers for the quarter. Nickelodeon recently announced that it is extending the Nick at Nite programming block to encompass all three hours of prime time (8-11 p.m. ET/PT), providing viewers with a slate of family programming including the upcoming Nick at Nite premiere of Malcolm in the Middle on July 5.
Year to date, Nick at Nite is averaging 1.5 million total viewers, a 0.6 A18-49 rating (679,000 viewers A18-49) and a 0.8 W18-49 rating (442,000 viewers W18-49).

AmericanLife TV June 2009 Sees Daily Strip Schedule; Me-Too Brings Classic TV Marathons in May
On weekends, Paid Programming is until 3pm still, followed by Lifestyle/original/Boomer programming such as This Food That Wine. Then at 5pm, on Saturdays we get two episodes of Mission Impossible until 7pm, and on Sundays we get the ALN Classic Movie. Then at 7pm, it is the opposite of 5pm, on Saturdays we get the ALN Classic Movie until 9pm, and on Sundays it is two episodes of Mission Impossible. The pattern continues from 9-11pm, with Mission Impossible on Saturday and the ALN Classic Movie on Sunday. From 11pm-1am on Saturday nights we get Primetime Hunting and on Sundays we get two more Mission Impossible episodes. Both nights from 1-3am will see the ALN Classic Movie and closing the weekend on both days is The Color Honeymooners at 3am.
So there you have it, the new AmericanLife TV schedule! It is simpler but lots of shows have to be removed. Unfortunately these shows are off the line-up for now: Batman, Burke's Law, Combat!, It's a Great Life, Land of the Giants, Lone Wolf, Lost in Space, Lou Grant, Mary Tyler Moore Show, Trapper John MD, Rat Patrol, Time Tunnel, Green Hornet, Twelve O'Clock High, Remington Steele, The Big Valley, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea and WKRP in Cincinnati. Let's hope some of those return and get to air daily as well. But for now, enjoy them in May because in June they will be gone for now.
Chicago just gets better and better! Me-Too in Chicago is calling all Classic Television Lovers! Do you like TV? Do you like TV marathons? Then you'll love Me-Too in May! Over there at Me-Too they have enough classic TV shows for not just one marathon, they have enough for many, many marathons! So, beginning May 1, Me-Too will air a different 12-hour marathon each weekday, Monday through Friday, 10AM-10PM CT, all month long! One day you may be hanging with Lucy and Ethel, another 'Happy Day' you could cruise with the Fonz. How about exploring new galaxies with the original Star Trek crew or going to the moon with the Kramdens? And even laughing out loud with Norman Lear shows!
Kicking it off on Friday (May 1) is The Dick Van Dyke Show. Remembering Bea Arthur, Kim Weiskopf; Hallmark Channel, WE tv, TV Land, Me-Too All To Air Tributes for Bea
Even before television, Bea had a major career in plays on Broadway. Arthur's biggest Broadway triumph came in 1966 as Vera Charles, Angela Lansbury's acerbic friend in the musical "Mame," directed by Tony-winning director Gene Saks, who was also her husband of 28 years. They divorced in 1978. During 2001 and 2002 she toured the country in a one-woman show of songs and stories, ... And Then There's Bea.
In between Maude and The Golden Girls, Bea had a failed sitcom. In 1983, she starred in the ABC sitcom Amanda's, an Americanized version of John Cleese's hilarious Fawlty Towers. She was cast as owner of a small seaside hotel with a staff of eccentrics. It lasted a mere 10 episodes, with three episodes unaired.
She was also in films. Among the movies she graced were That Kind of Woman (1959), Lovers and Other Strangers (1970), Mel Brooks' The History of the World: Part I (1981), For Better or Worse (1995). Her TV movies include the ABC TV movie My First Love in 1988 and the NBC TV movie P.O.P. in 1984.
Among her guest appearances on television are the The Golden Girls spin-off Empty Nest, Ellen, Beggars & Choosers, Dave's World, a.k.a. Pablo, Laugh-In, and she appeared on a rare special recap episode of Soap as an "angel." In recent years, Arthur made guest appearances on shows including Curb Your Enthusiasm, Futurama and Malcolm in the Middle. The latter was very popular.
Bea will certainly be missed by millions and millions fans around the world. TV Land has created a 30-second on-air and online promo remembering her. TV Land will air both of her appearances on All in the Family on Tuesday and Wednesday at 9am, the episodes "Cousin Maude's Visit" on Tuesday and the back-door "Maude" pilot that aired as an All in the Family episode on Wednesday. Too bad TV Land isn't airing regular Maude episodes as a tribute. Me-Too in Chicago will air Maude, though! All this week in the 9-10pm CT hour, Me-Too Chicago airs "Remembering Maude: A Tribute to Bea Arthur." View the episode schedule. Lucky fans in Chi-town.

Hallmark will pay tribute to Bea with a Memorial Day marathon and WE tv pays tribute to Bea tonight and Thursday, see below for more details on both. Watch a video celebration of her life and career. Hallmark Channel has announced it will pay tribute to legendary star Bea Arthur with an all-day Golden Girls "Memorial Day Marathon" on Monday, May 25 from 6:30am-2:30am, featuring episodes focusing on Arthur's character Dorothy Zbornak, a gruff, wise-cracking divorcée who shared her Miami home with her mother and two loopy friends. Golden Girls plays daily on Hallmark Channel: Monday-Friday, 8-10 a.m., 7-9 p.m., 12-2 a.m., Saturdays 6-9 a.m., and Sundays 8:30-10 a.m. View their press release. The qualifier to the announcement included these sentiments: more, sooner, please. And now Hallmark has listened! Hallmark Channel responded by hand-selecting the "Best of the Dorothy Zbornak Episodes" which begin running Tuesday, April 28 (7-9pm) and continue, Wednesday, April 29 (7-9pm), and Thursday, April 30 (7-9pm) in the normal Golden Girls timeslots, but also on Sunday, May 3 (8:30am-3am) a full day event is planned! This is all in addition to the previously announced Memorial Day marathon on, Monday, May 25 (6:30am-2:30am.). WE tv airs the show weeknights from 5-7pm ET, with primetime marathons from 6pm-12am on Monday nights, so that includes tonight. They also air the show sometimes on Thursday late nights. WE tv announced today two special nights of programming to honor Bea Arthur. "WE Remember Bea" will feature a marathon of favorite The Golden Girls episodes both Monday, April 27 from 5pm-12am ET and Thursday, April 30 from 9:30pm-1am ET. The acclaimed actress, known for her quick wit and willingness to embrace controversial issues was the centerpiece of the comedic series, which won more than 38 awards during its run. "WE Remember Bea" will be comprised of episodes which center on Bea Arthur's colorful character Dorothy Zbornak and key related storylines from the series. WE tv already had a scheduled Golden Girls Memorial Day marathon from 10am-6am, so we have two networks airing a marathon on The Golden Girls on May 25.
We also have lost Kim Weiskopf, a TV comedy writer whose credits included Three's Company and Married...with Children, died of pancreatic cancer Wednesday (April 22) at his home in Encino. He launched his career in the early 1970s, with longtime writing partner Michael S. Baser, he wrote for series such as One Day at a Time, The Jeffersons, Melba, Carter Country, We Got It Made, and Good Times, the latter show leading to their first staff-writing position.
The writing duo went on to write and produce three seasons of ABC's Three's Company before being hired to create the TV series 9 to 5 for ABC, which was based on the movie. They then developed an updated, syndicated version of the '70s series What's Happening!! called What's Happening Now!!, though he had never worked with the original series.
Weiskopf's also wrote and produced for Rachel Gunn, R.N., Full House and Married...with Children, without Baser. Kim appeared in interviews for the E! True Hollywood Story episodes of both Three's Company and Married...with Children. He had an uncredited appearance on Married...with Children on an episode playing Lucky the Dog in a 1996 episode.
He is going to be missed, especially by fans of Three's Company and Married...with Children. Kim was 62.

Chicago's Me-TV and Me-Too Winter 2009 Schedules; BET January 2009
Then on New Year's Day, you've got your choice of the classics. See the best work of special effects pioneer filmmaker, Ray Harryhausen on Me-Too (Channel 48). Harryhausen is most famous for his stop-motion model animation, which won him an Academy Award! Featured movies include the classic titles 7th Voyage of Sinbad & Jason and the Argonauts from 8AM to 10PM.
Or instead take a day trip down to Mayberry with Me-TV (WWME Channel 23) for "The Andy Griffith-thon." Spend your day reliving all of your favorite moments from The Andy Griffith Show during Me-TV's "The Andy Griffith-thon." From Andy getting Opie out of trouble to keeping a watchful eye over Aunt Bee's romantic adventures, it's a blast from the past all-day long. See these classic episodes in the rarely seen full network versions, New Year's Day beginning at 9AM all the way to 11PM only on Me-TV!
As for the Winter schedules, Me-TV will be adding The Andy Griffith Show to its line-up after the marathon on New Year's Day. Other changes include In the Heat of the Night being replaced weekdays at 12 noon by Charlie's Angels; weekday afternoons gets a makeover with back-to-back Bewitched and The Cosby Show coming between 3-5pm replacing Cheers, Benson and 3rd Rock; early evenings will see some shuffling, but Andy Griffith joins at 6:30pm replacing Fresh Prince. Batman is gone at 7pm replaced by Dick Van Dyke. In primetime, we now have dramas instead of sitcoms, with Perry Mason and The Untouchables instead of Happy Days and Cosby Show. We get another Andy Griffith airing at 10:30pm, while The Odd Couple joins Me-TV at 11:30pm, and Cheers and 3rd Rock move from afternoons to late nights starting at 12:30am. In the overnights, we now get classic drama Route 66.
As for Saturdays, 11am-6pm gets a total makeover, going to more of a sci-fi route instead of crime. Black Sheep Squadron, Battlestar Galactica, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Knight Rider, The Greatest American Hero, The Incredible Hulk, and Star Trek will air from 11am-6pm replacing Dragnet, Hawaii Five-0, Magnum P.I., TJ Hooker, Charlie's Angels, Starsky & Hutch and SWAT. At 6pm, since Star Trek has moved to 5pm, we now get two Andy Griffith Show episodes.
On Sundays, the sitcom blocks get a makeover. In the 12 noon hour we now have Family Ties replacing Bewitched/I Dream of Jeannie, then in the 1pm hour it is back-to-back Leave it to Beaver, replacing an airing of One Day at a Time, which is now off the line-up. At 2:30 another I Love Lucy is added, giving it a full hour. Who's the Boss? and Mork & Mindy are now also gone, replaced by back-to-back Dick Van Dyke Show episodes in the 3pm hour. At 4pm, we now have two Beverly Hillbillies episodes instead of Gilligan's Island and Family Ties. Replacing The Nanny and Roseanne in the 6pm hour are Happy Days and Andy Griffith...it's a Ron Howard hour. Benson is now only Sundays at 9pm, replacing Good Times, while Andy Griffith airs at 10:30pm moving Barney Miller to 12 midnight, replacing one of the Get Smart airings.

As for the Me-Too winter lineup, they also will make many changes. Patty Duke Show comes to weekdays at 7am and the morning sitcom block starting at 9am has been altered with Webster, Beverly Hillbillies and I Love Lucy. Gone are Saved by the Bell, Facts of Life, Diff'rent Strokes, Green Acres, and Petticoat Junction. Dramas take over during the afternoon with Eight is Enough, Little House, Hawaii Five-0, Magnum P.I., and Cagney & Lacey. In the Heat of the Night moves from Me-TV to Me-Too airing weekdays at 6pm. Other weekday changes include an All in the Family/The Jeffersons hour weekdays at 9pm.
As for Saturdays, from 1pm-8pm is now westerns with such classics such as Marshall Dillon, Rawhide, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Wild Wild West, Have Gun Will Travel and The Rifleman. The overnight sitcom block has changed a bit too, with Dennis the Menace and Green Acres leaving, but Father Knows Best & Flying Nun, are among the shows airing now.
Sundays doesn't see many changes happening. Among the minor changes are Delvecchio at 6pm instead of Perry Mason.

Moving on to cable, BET has announced its January line-up. Recently ended talk show The Montel Williams Show joins the BET line-up on Monday, January 5 airing weekday mornings at 9am. The long-running talk show will start its run on BET with the episode "Mistaken Identity: It Could Happen to You." Also, as we mentioned, the animated comedy The Proud Family will join the regular schedule on BET in January as well. It will join the Saturday line-up this Saturday with a mini-marathon before settling into its 12 noon and 12:30pm slot starting Jan. 10 following back-to-back Romeo!, Just Jordan and Smart Guy. BUT...that's not all! The Proud Family will get a Martin Luther King, Jr. Day marathon from 9am-2pm on Monday, January 19. The Proud Family will join the regular weekday schedule as well starting Monday, January 26 airing weekdays in the 5pm hour, following back-to-back Steve Harvey, One on One, and Smart Guy all starting at 2pm.
