CBS All Access announced that its new original series Why Women Kill, a darkly comedic drama created by Marc Cherry (Desperate Housewives, Devious Maids), will premiere on Thursday, August 15. Episodes of Why Women Kill's 10-episode first season will be available on demand weekly on Thursdays exclusively for CBS All Access subscribers. Why Women Kill details the lives of three women living in three different decades: a housewife in the '60s, a socialite in the '80s and a lawyer in 2019, each dealing with infidelity in their marriages. The series will examine how the roles of women have changed, but how their reaction to betrayal...has not. Why Women Kill stars Lucy Liu, Ginnifer Goodwin and Kirby Howell-Baptiste. The cast includes Jack Davenport, Sam Jaeger, Reid Scott, Alexandra Daddario, Sadie Calvano, Leo Howard, Alicia Coppola and Katie Finneran.

Netflix has picked up a second year of Dead to Me starring Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini. Liz Feldman's dark comedy about a dynamic female friendship that dives into the painfully unfiltered, weirdly funny waters of grief, loss and forgiveness has been picked up for a second season. Creator Liz Feldman (2 Broke Girls, One Big Happy) will serve as showrunner and executive producer on season two. The series stars Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini and they will return to the series as Jen (Appelgate) and Judy (Cardellini). Executive Producers are Jessica Elbaum (Booksmart, Hustlers) from Gloria Sanchez Productions, Will Ferrell (Succession, Drunk History) and Adam McKay (Succession, Drunk History) of Gary Sanchez Productions as well as Christie Smith (Nathan for You, Tosh.0) and Christina Appelegate. 10 episodes were ordered for the first season, but no word yet on how many episodes will be ordered for the second season.

• Coach - Seasons One and Two (DVD, $14.98): Mill Creek makes their first release of this series on DVD (which was previously released by Universal) with this two season combo pack. Season 1 and season 2 also available individually.
• South Park - The Nineteenth Season (DVD, $29.99; Blu-ray, $42.99): Just in time for the upcoming debut of the 20th season of the Comedy Central series, this release comes to DVD and Blu-ray.

Who to Follow: Kristen Bell (Twitter), "5'1 is the new 6'2"

Claim to Fame: We're continuing our theme of "the stars of the new sitcoms" this week with Kristen Bell, who will star on NBC's newest entry (and the network's attempt to make Thursday night comedy night once, which we hope succeeds) alongside Ted Danson, called The Good Place. Bell is already rather well known to TV audiences from her title role on the series Veronica Mars and most recently she starred in the Showtime comedy House of Lies, but this marks her first regular role in a primetime broadcast network sitcom. With a sitcom veteran as her co-star and the show being created by Michael Schur (who has a solid track record of success with sitcoms, including The Office, Parks and Recreation, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine), this might be a role that she could be getting used to for a few years, but we'll never know until it debuts (in a special timeslot, before moving to the regular Thursday slot) on September 19 on NBC.

This summer, the heat is on Monday nights, beginning June 6 when stacked season premieres of Devious Maids at 9pm ET/PT, followed by the critically acclaimed series, UnREAL at 10pm ET/PT will debut. Ten episodes of each series have been ordered. As of yesterday, UnREAL fans can also binge The Faith Diaries, a new scripted spinoff series, at mylifetime.com where all ten episodes are available. Written and produced by UnREAL co-creator and executive producer Sarah Gertrude Shapiro, the series follows season one favorite Faith (Breeda Wool), and her girlfriend Amy as they travel to Los Angeles to pursue their Hollywood dreams and learn about their relationship along way. As for UnREAL, having already tackled relevant matters of gender politics, the series, starring Shiri Appleby and Constance Zimmer as producers Rachel Goldberg and Quinn King, will stir up the drama in season two when Everlasting casts its first-ever African American suitor. Returning as series regulars are Craig Bierko as Everlasting's creator, Chet, who is on a quest to reclaim his full power on set; Josh Kelly as Jeremy, Everlasting's director of photography; and Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman as Jay, a field producer whose ambitions run far beyond the show. Everlasting's new suitor Darius Hill, an All-American football star, will be played by B.J. Britt.

With a special appearance by Eva Longoria in the season four premiere of Devious Maids, murder and mayhem collide once again in the mansions of Beverly Hills' wealthiest and most powerful families in ten all new-episodes. Executive produced by Marc Cherry and Longoria, Devious Maids follows a close-knit group of friends, Marisol (Ana Ortiz), Rosie (Dania Ramírez), Carmen (Roselyn Sánchez) and Zoila (Judy Reyes), who are bonded together by their jobs, life struggles and the melodramatic universe that engulfs their employers. This season, Marisol finds herself acting as a support system to Evelyn (Rebecca Wisocky) in the wake of a big life change. Meanwhile, Rosie's positive and sunny disposition leaves much to be desired by her new boss, Genevieve (Susan Lucci) who is acclimating to a household without Zoila's honest and acerbic humor. Carmen continues to pursue her singing career until her cousin Daniela (Sol Rodriguez) comes to town and shakes things up. Marisol also finds herself in a new relationship, which eventually becomes a complicated triangle when her old flame Jesse reappears. The series also stars Tom Irwin, Grant Show and Nathan Owens. Joining in recurring roles are Longoria's Desperate Housewives castmate James Denton, Carlos Ponce, Ryan McPartlin, Stephanie Faracy and Elizabeth Rodriguez. Kathryn LaNasa also makes a guest appearance this season, joining her real-life husband, Grant Show.

Lifetime's hit series Devious Maids (#DeviousMaids, #DeviousArmy) will return for a devilish fourth season next year. The network has ordered 10 episodes of the ABC Studios-produced program, which is executive produced by Marc Cherry, Eva Longoria, Sabrina Wind and Brian Tanen, and stars Ana Ortiz, Dania Ramírez, Roselyn Sánchez, Judy Reyes and Susan Lucci. Last season, Devious Maids drove Lifetime to rank as the number two cable network with scripted programming in the Monday 9-10pm time period among Women 25-54 and Women 18-49, while its August 24 season finale reached season highs among Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Women 25-54. In addition, the program's stars Ortiz, Ramírez, Sánchez and Reyes each received an Imagen Award nomination for Best Actress – Television.

Devious Maids is set in a world where murder and mayhem collide in the mansions of Beverly Hills' wealthiest and most powerful families. Class warfare has never been as fun and dirty as it is in the tony enclave where the staff is as clever, witty and downright as devilish as their employers. The series centers on a close-knit group of maids, Marisol (Ortiz), Rosie (Ramírez), Carmen (Sánchez) and Zoila (Reyes), who are bonded together by their jobs, life struggles and the melodramatic universe that engulfs their employers. Devious Maids also stars Grant Show, Rebecca Wisocky and Tom Irwin. Brianna Brown and Brett Cullen made a return to the series this past season, joining other cast members Edy Ganem, Naya Rivera, Gilles Marini, Cristián de la Fuente, John O'Hurley, Justina Machado, Nathan Owens and Julie Claire.

No surprise. Fox has picked up the comedy series New Girl for a fifth season. The series will celebrate its landmark 100th episode during the upcoming 2015-2016 season. New Girl stars Emmy Award- and Golden Globe-nominated actress Zooey Deschanel as a smart, spirited and single young woman who navigates her way through the highs and lows of modern friendship and romance, alongside her four male roommates (Jake Johnson, Emmy Award- and Golden Globe-nominated Max Greenfield, Lamorne Morris, Damon Wayans, Jr.) and her beautiful best friend (Hannah Simone). No word yet on its Tuesday neighbor The Mindy Project. That series has yet to be renewed for a fourth season and it just completed its third season last Tuesday.

Lifetime's critically-acclaimed hit series Devious Maids (#DeviousMaids, #DeviousArmy), returns for a third season on a new night, Mondays at 9PM ET/PT, beginning June 1 leading into the series premiere of new drama UnREAL at 10PM ET/PT. Executive produced by Marc Cherry and Eva Longoria, Devious Maids follows five maids with ambition and dreams of their own while working for the rich and famous in Beverly Hills. Devious Maids is set in a world where murder and mayhem collide in the mansions of Beverly Hills' wealthiest and most powerful families. Class warfare has never been as fun and dirty as it is in the tony enclave where the staff is as clever, witty and downright as devilish as their employers. The series has centered on a close-knit group of maids, Marisol (Ana Ortiz), Rosie (Dania Ramírez), Carmen (Roselyn Sánchez), Valentina (Edy Ganem) and Zoila (Judy Reyes), who are bonded together by their jobs, life struggles and the melodramatic universe that engulfs their employers.
