HBO Max Celebrates 25th Anniversary of Six Feet Under; Netflix Orders Dealies
June 3, 2026, marked the 25th anniversary of the Emmy®-winning HBO original series Six Feet Under. HBO fans can join in the celebration by rewatching the iconic series that is famed for tackling subjects like mortality, grief and the meaning of life with dark humor and an unflinching gaze, as well as its nuanced and revolutionary representation of LGBTQ+ relationships. A newly cut trailer was released to mark the occasion. The series will also be prominently featured across the HBO Max app.
The series debuted June 3, 2001 and ran five seasons from 2001 to 2005, concluding its final episode on August 21, 2005. The series has won nine Emmy® Awards and secured 53 Emmy® nominations.
When death is your business, what is your life? From Oscar®-winning screenwriter Alan Ball (American Beauty) comes this award-winning HBO drama series that takes a darkly comic look at a dysfunctional L.A. family that runs a funeral business.
Series regulars: Peter Krause (Nate Fisher), Michael C. Hall (David Fisher), Frances Conroy (Ruth Fisher), Lauren Ambrose (Claire Fisher), Rachel Griffiths (Brenda Chenowith), Freddy Rodriguez (Federico Diaz) and Mathew St. Patrick (Keith Charles).
Netflix announced Dealies, a new adult animated comedy series created by Joe Bennett and Ted Travelstead, and Executive Produced by Green Street Pictures (Common Side Effects, Scavenger's Reign).
