SitcomsOnline Digest: Warner to Release Perfect Strangers - The Complete Series on Blu-ray; Chloe Fineman Exits Saturday Night Live

Welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! This week, we're hearing of a release of an 80s classic sitcom on Blu-ray, the exit of a Saturday Night Live cast member, and more. Let's get going!

HIGHLIGHTS FROM SITCOMSONLINE.COM AND AROUND THE WEB

  • Back in the day, when home media releases were huge, Saturday's were for "Digital Digest," and we're kind of going back to that this week as Warner Home Video has announced one of their most unexpected titles, Perfect Strangers - The Complete Series, on Blu-ray. (Blu-ray.com)
  • Chloe Fineman is announcing her exit from Saturday Night Live. (Deadline)
  • We got used to about 22 minutes of a sitcom on broadcast TV, and some going around or above 30 minutes on streaming, but now Stuart Fails to Saves the Universe is challenging that with much shorter episodes. (Deadline)
  • Hal Williams, best known for his roles on Sanford and Son and 227 (among many others), has died at 91. (SitcomsOnline)
WEEKLY PLANNER (JULY 18 - JULY 24)

  • Stuart Fails to Save the Universe arrives on HBO Max on Thursday.
  • King of the Hill returns for a new season on Monday, on Hulu.
  • Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? is back on ABC on Wednesday.
