Kay asks Mike and Rio to help chaperone Jacob’s after-prom event at the community center. After realizing how controlling Kay has been of Jacob’s life, Rio tries to encourage her to relinquish control, especially when it comes to his “bad girl” girlfriend Janine. In part 1 of the series finale, Mitchell and Cam settle in on their new normal, and Phil and Claire decide that one of the kids needs to move out in order to take control of the house again.
