New Perry Mason on HBO June 21; New The Jeffersons Book Honky in the House

Drama series Perry Mason, starring Emmy(R) winner Matthew Rhys, debuts Sunday, June 21 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, exclusively on HBO 1931, Los Angeles. While the rest of the country struggles through the Great Depression, this city is booming! Oil! Olympic Games! Talking Pictures! Evangelical Fervor! And a child kidnapping gone very, very wrong. Based on characters created by author Erle Stanley Gardner, this drama series follows the origins of American fiction's most legendary criminal defense lawyer, Perry Mason. When the case of the decade breaks down his door, Mason's relentless pursuit of the truth reveals a fractured city and just maybe, a pathway to redemption for himself. Perry Mason stars Matthew Rhys (The Americans, Brothers & Sisters), John Lithgow (3rd Rock from the Sun), Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black), Juliet Rylance (American Gothic), Chris Chalk, Shea Whigham, Stephen Root (NewsRadio), Gayle Rankin, Nate Corddry, Veronica Falcon, Jefferson Mays, Lili Taylor (American Crime), Andrew Howard, Eric Lange, and Robert Patrick (Scorpion).
Antler Publishing has released a new book taking readers behind the scenes of The Jeffersons, one of the most iconic sitcoms of all time. Author Jay Moriarty says, "People are always asking what it was like to work with Norman Lear during the 'Golden Age of Sitcoms.' So I decided to write a memoir about my experiences writing & producing The Jeffersons, titled Honky in the House."
Below, right before social distancing began, is a picture of Jay with Lear, who's holding a copy of his new favorite book, available on Amazon & other sites.
