SitcomsOnline Digest: CSI Limited Series for the 20th Anniversary?; ABC Orders Comedy Pilots
Welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! It's a bit of a slow news week as pilots (many of which we'll never see make it to air) and casting for them are coming together, but we do have some news about some of those pilots for ABC, news of a limited series revival of something that dominated CBS in the first decade of the century, and more. Let's get going!

- A limited series revival of CSI could be coming to CBS in time for the 20th anniversary of the series. (Hollywood Reporter)
- ABC has ordered a pilot for Adopted, a comedy that would be executive produced by Jimmy Kimmel. (Variety)
- ABC has also picked up a comedy pilot called Home Economics, about three siblings who are in very different places in life economically. (Deadline)
- Paula Kelly, who was a regular in the early episodes of Night Court (when the series was constantly changing the cast around), has died at age 77. (New York Post)
- A reboot of Quantum Leap is something that a lot of people could probably get behind, but don't get too excited yet, as nothing is in the works aside from a discussion with Scott Bakula on The Talk. (Deadline)
- Superstore has been renewed for a sixth season. (SitcomsOnline)

- Extreme Makeover: Home Edition returns to the air on Sunday night, but on HGTV this time.
- A new season of American Idol debuts Sunday on ABC.

Animal Control - "Coyotes and Eagles" (Fox, 9:02PM ET/PT)
A movie star shadows Frank for his upcoming role as an Animal Control officer; Shred and Patel go on a juice cleanse; Emily forgets Templeton's birthday.
Going Dutch - "General Dearest" (Fox, 9:32PM ET/PT)
Due to flooding from a massive storm, The Colonel invites Gen. Martin and her troops to stay at Stroopsdorf; Shah and Maggie turn up the heat on their romance.
