New Year's Eve 2019 and New Year's Day 2020 TV Marathons

Welcome to a special New Year's style edition of the News Blog! As we end 2019 and start 2020, today we will give you a marathon recap on TV for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day! Some of the major TV stunts include Antenna TV's NewsRadio New Year's Day Marathon starting at 5am. Ring in the new year with the Rose family by catching up on your favorite comedy series Schitt's Creek on Pop TV beginning today at 12 pm ET/PT through New Year's Day at 9:30pm. COZI TV will have a launch marathon of Roseanne on New Year's Day starting at 10am through 12am. Syfy has its 24th annual Twilight Zone New Year's Eve and Day marathon that starts New Year's Eve at 6am continuing through early Wednesday, Jan. 2 at 4am. IFC will have a Monty Python's Flying Circus marathon as soon the clock strikes midnight to ring in 2020 through 9:15am on New Year's Day! WPIX in New York will of course have their annual The Honeymooners marathon starting at 11:59pm on New Year's Eve through 5pm on New Year's Day. Also in New York City, WLNY-TV 55/10 will have a marathon of The Odd Couple once again starting at 10pm on New Year's Eve night through 9pm on New Year's Day for the eighth straight year.

TV One has a New Year's Eve marathon of Sanford & Son starting at 6am through 3am, followed by a New Year's Day marathon of Good Times also from 6am-3am. TV Land will go with multiple marathons on New Year's Day with The Golden Girls from 9am-1pm, The Andy Griffith Show from 1pm-8pm and The King of Queens from 8pm-3am. FXX will continue its marathon of The Simpsons that started a few weeks ago and will end on New Year's Eve night at 2am. Comedy Central ends the year with a South Park marathon from 9am-2am and then starts the year with Chappelle's Show on New Year's Day from 9am-5am, as we mentioned. There is a New Year's Eve and Day marathon of Sex and the City on E! that has already begun. USA Network has a Law & Order: SVU Resolve to Watch New Year's Eve and Day marathon starting at 6am on New Year's Eve. Other notable marathons on New Year's Eve includes Criminal Minds on ION, more Twilight Zone on Decaces, Law & Order/Law & Order: Criminal Intent marathon on WEtv, Chicago P.D. marathon on Oxygen and a Doctor Who marathon on BBC America that has already started and runs through 5am on Jan. 2.

It won't be the end of the year and the start of the year without ABC's Dick Clark's Primetime New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2019 special on New Year's Eve from 8pm-10pm, followed by its annual specials at 10pm and 11:30pm. NBC and Fox air their own New Year's Eve specials hosted by Carson Daly and Steve Harvey, respectively. Movie wise, AMC, TNT, Freeform and many others will air movies on New Year's Day, while Hallmark Channel continues to air Christmas movies on New Year's Eve. Abbott Elementary - "Student Transfer" (ABC, 9:00PM ET/PT)
After a negative teacher review, Janine gets a confidence boost when a student gets transferred from Melissa’s class into hers, but it turns out the student proves to be too much to handle. While trying to forge a friendship with an uninterested Gregory, it is revealed that Jacob is constantly getting roasted by his students. The two bond after Gregory unintentionally gives Jacob the idea to incorporate the roasts in an educational way.

black-ish - "Hoop Dreams" (ABC, 9:30PM ET/PT)
Jack gets a job as the locker room attendant for the Los Angeles Lakers, and Dre and Bow feel like they need to step in before letting the job get to his head. Meanwhile, Pops and Ruby realize their daily routine has gotten boring and heed advice from Junior and Olivia.

American Auto - "Commercial" (NBC, 8:00PM ET/PT)
Katherine and the team reshoot a commercial to make it more inclusive of the LGBTQ+ community.

Grand Crew - "Wine & Pie" (NBC, 8:30PM ET/PT)
Noah's dad is in a funk, so he asks Fay to make his favorite pie; Sherm teaches Anthony to play chess; Wyatt introduces the crew to his brother.
