SitcomsOnline Digest: Lilly Singh Coming to NBC Late Night Lineup; Netflix Cancels One Day at at Time

Welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! This week, we're hearing tons of news about Lori Loughlin (at least people know her name aside from just being Aunt Becky now?), news about a new late night talk show host, the cancellation of a Netflix favorite, and more. Let's get going!

  • NBC has announced a replacement for Carson Daly, and it is one who is much different from the typical late night talk show host, Lilly Singh, who happens to be an Indian-Canadian woman and is also bisexual. (Huffington Post)
  • It used to be that Netflix was where shows that were canceled by other networks went to air new episodes, but now it seems that the Netflix reboot of One Day at a Time, which has been cancelled by Netflix, is being shopped around elsewhere. (NBC News)
  • By this point, we all know the news about Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman, and now it seems that Hallmark his fired Loughlin (who happens to be one of the biggest stars for the network), and she will not be returning to Fuller House either. (People) 
  • NBC will air the Super Bowl in 2022 following a swap with CBS, which will allow NBC to integrate the Winter Olympics into their Super Bowl coverage. (Deadline)
  • ABC has found a unique niche in reviving classic game shows, and they're doing it again with Press Your Luck and Card Sharks. (SitcomsOnline)
