Sitcom Stars on Talk Shows; This Week in Sitcoms (Week of October 2, 2017)

It's Sunday, so it is time for "Sitcom Stars on Talk Shows" for the coming week. This is where we list what sitcom stars are appearing on talk shows for the coming week, the stars are both current and past sitcom stars, so this is for all sitcom fans of all eras!

Mark Feuerstein stars as Josh Roberts, a new divorcé and actor between projects who moves home to New York to regroup, living in an apartment sandwiched between his doting, meddlesome parents on one side and his brother, sister-in-law and their new baby on the other. Kevin Can Wait - "Business Unusual" (CBS, 9:00PM ET/PT)

Axl returns home from his summer trip to Europe, sporting a man-bun and embracing a new, chill European outlook on life. Mike just wants him to clean up and look for a job, but Frankie thinks Axl will do this on his own and asks Mike to give him a little breathing room. Meanwhile, because Sue worked the entire summer at Spudsy’s and missed out on having any fun, she decides to cram in a whole summer of fun in two days before going back to college; Brick makes the decision to break up with Cindy because he doesn’t want to be tied down in a relationship when he’s about to embark on the revelry of his “big sophomore year”; and Frankie desperately tries to come up with an item for a time capsule that’s being buried under the Orson cow that will make the town remember the Hecks when it’s opened in 100 years.

Fresh Off the Boat - "B as in Best Friends" (ABC, 8:30PM ET/PT)
Still homeless, the Huangs move in with Honey and Marvin. Jessica’s dreams come true when she gets a chance to compete on “Wheel of Fortune” during Best Friends Week with Honey. Eddie starts high school and is still on the outs with his pals but finds unexpected sympathy from Nicole. Michael Bolton offers to step in at the restaurant to give Louis more time with his family, but does he have an ulterior motive?

black-ish - "Juneteenth" (ABC, 9:00PM ET/PT)
The Johnsons go to Jack and Diane’s school play about Columbus Day, and Dre is dismayed by the historically inaccurate way that the holiday is portrayed. He feels like there aren’t enough black holidays, so he enlists Aloe Blacc at work to help him create a catchy song to raise awareness for a holiday worth celebrating, Juneteenth.

The Mayor - "Pilot" (ABC, 9:30PM ET/PT)
Young rapper Courtney Rose (Brandon Micheal Hall, “Search Party”) needs his big break. For years he’s toiled away in a small inner-city apartment, making music in his junk-filled bedroom closet. Tired of waiting for opportunity to knock, Courtney cooks up the publicity stunt of the century – running for mayor of his California hometown, Fort Grey, to generate buzz for his music career. But his master plan goes wildly awry, ending in the most terrifying of outcomes: an election victory.

The Mick - "The Friend" (Fox, 9:00PM ET/PT)
Mickey and Alba's relationship is put to the test when divorcée Trish hits an emotional low point and becomes a seemingly perfect friend for Mickey to spend some time with; Sabrina and Ben try to wear down at Chip's ego.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine - "The Big House Pt. 2" (Fox, 9:30PM ET/PT)
When Jake is asked by the warden to investigate Romero's drug smuggling operation, he is torn between his loyalty to Romero and the warden; a local mobster tells Amy that he can prove Hawkins' guilt, but Holt and the gang has another plan.

The Goldbergs - "Hogan Is My Grandfather" (ABC, 8:00PM ET/PT)
Adam is assigned a term paper on a great person in history, and he decides to make a movie about his grandfather but finds all of Pop’s war stories mundane. Pops takes matters into his own hands and decides to tell more exciting stories based on an old television series. Meanwhile, Erica returns home to confront Beverly for over-mothering her. Murray insists Beverly teach Erica and Barry basic life skills, but she worries Erica and Barry will be too independent.

Speechless - "F-I-- FIRST S-E-- SECOND F-- FIRST DAY" (ABC, 8:30PM ET/PT)
When Maya encourages the parents of the new special needs kids at Lafayette High to demand full-time aides, the school administrators tell her anything the new students get will spell losses for her beloved JJ. Meanwhile, Dylan develops a hooky habit, unprepared as she is to return to the same school for a second year; JJ pushes Kenneth toward romance with his teacher; and Jimmy endeavors to enjoy a long-awaited uninterrupted shower.

Modern Family - "The Long Goodbye" (ABC, 9:00PM ET/PT)
Phil and Claire realize that Alex may be more self-sufficient in college than they give her credit for when they drop in for a quick visit. Meanwhile, Manny is determined to avoid a long tearful goodbye after Gloria and Jay move him into his college dorm. Finally, Mitch may have accidentally accelerated a planned renovation, and Hayley gets an unexpected opportunity when she befriends a wealthy female member at the country club.

American Housewife - "Boar-Dain" (ABC, 9:30PM ET/PT)
Despite pressure from Oliver, Greg and her rival, Tara, Katie insists she’s going to plan the Spring Gala her way. After Oliver is emasculated by his ex-girlfriend, Greg attempts to teach Oliver how to “man up” by throwing a successful barbecue.

You're the Worst - "There's Always a Back Door" (FXX, 10:00PM ET/PT)
Edgar takes Jimmy on a “man date” in an effort to emotionally bond with him while Gretchen discovers some startling news about the new guy she's seeing. Lindsay attempts to make friends at work.

Superstore - "Brett's Dead" (NBC, 8:00PM ET/PT)
Amy (America Ferrera) worries that Dina (Lauren Ash) may be struggling with anxiety while Jonah (Ben Feldman) tries to find out more about Garrett's (Colton Dunn) past. Meanwhile, Mateo (Nico Santos) and Cheyenne (Nichole Bloom) avoid work by convincing Glenn (Mark McKinney) that they were close with Brett.

The Good Place - "Team Cockroach" (NBC, 8:30PM ET/PT)
Michael (Ted Danson) approaches things from a new angle. Eleanor (Kristen Bell), Chidi (William Jackson Harper), Tahani (Jameela Jamil) and Jason (Manny Jacinto) struggle to make a collective decision.

Raven's Home - "The Baxtercism of Levi Grayson" (Disney Channel, 8:00PM ET/PT)
Booker and Levi try to prank a classmate into thinking their apartment building is haunted; Nia gets chickenpox; Tess comes up with a plan to make sure her best friend doesn't miss out on Halloween.

Stuck in the Middle - "Stuck in a Merry Scary" (Disney Channel, 8:30PM ET/PT)
On Halloween, Harley becomes determined to prank Rachel, the one person in the Diaz family she hasn't been able to scare before.

Bizaardvark - "Halloweenvark: Part Boo!" (Disney Channel, 9:00PM ET/PT)
When the power goes out at Vuuugle while trying to watch a scary movie, the gang is left with no choice but to make up their own scary Halloween stories.
