Four new dramas, two new comedies, and two live music events join the lineup. New Girl will air its seventh and final season. Medical drama The Resident, starring Matt Czurchy, Emily VanCamp and Bruce Greenwood, will premiere midseason. Emergency response drama 9-1-1, from creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, starring Angela Bassett, will premiere midseason. Workplace comedy LA to Vegas, starring Dylan McDermott, will debut midseason. Brand-new chapter of event series The X-Files to return midseason. An all-new musical produciton of perennial holiday classic A Christmas Story will air live in December. An all-new live musical production of Rent, the Tony Award, Grammy Award and Pulitzer Prize winner, will air.
