SitcomsOnline Digest: Katey Sagal to Guest Star on Big Bang Theory; Hangin' with Mr. Cooper Arrives on DVD

  • Sitcom veteran Katey Sagal will get to play the role of Kaley Cuoco's mother once again (previously playing the role in the sitcom 8 Simple Rules) in The Big Bang Theory this fall. Additionally, Jack McBrayer will play her brother. (Yahoo! TV)

Claim to Fame: With the announced release of Hangin' with Mr. Cooper on DVD, we are featuring one of the stars of that series for our Follow Me this week. Dawnn Lewis only appeared on the first season of the series, and was not part of the series as it was retooled for the second season. That was hardly her only sitcom credit, though. She also appeared in the first five seasons of A Different World. In recent years, she has continued to do roles in all genres of television and on stage, including Days of Our Lives, Doc McStuffins, The Boondocks, One Tree Hill, and more.
