2016 4th of July Marathons on TV
Today is the 4th of July so Happy 4th of July to all of you out there! We hope you enjoy the day off on our country's birthday! It's time to relax and watch some TV on this holiday! We are known for letting you know what marathons are airing on TV on holidays and we will do the same for this 4th of July as well! So, bring out your beach towel, BBQ some hot dogs, and stay cool indoors and watch some television!
Among the key marathons include a marathon of Howdy Doody on COZI TV from 9am-3pm. TV Land has The Andy Griffith Show marathon from 9am-8pm. TV One started a marathon of Empire this weekend and it will continue today through 5pm. IFC will air the classic series The Three Stoogeswith a marathon from 6am-6pm. Of course it wouldn't be the 4th of July without a Twilight Zone marathon on Syfy from 12am through 4am on July 5. POP launches Baywatch today with a marathon from 11am-4pm, before settling into its normal weekdays from 1-4pm schedule. Spanish simulcast network TeleXitos will also have a marathon of Baywatch today from 9am-5am. This evening, tune into LAFF for a Night Court marathon from 5pm-1am, while FXX loves its Simpsons stunts beginning at 6pm. WE tv has a Law & Order: Criminal Intent marathon from 10am-4pm, followed by CSI: Miami from 4pm-5am. Starz Westerns has a Wagon Train marathon from 6am-12am. Logo doesn't have a marathon, but they have a bunch of sitcom blocks as usual beginning at 5am with Bewitched, with All in the Family, Roseanne, Three's Company, more All in the Family and Soap following through 3am.
Other marathons of note, Sundance TV will air a marathon of the movie franchise National Lampoon starting at 4pm. It wouldn't be a holiday without a marathon of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Pivot delivers with one from 10am-10pm. Comedy Central showcases a Coming to America movie marathon from 10am-9pm. It's America's birthday, so why not a marathon of American Ninja Warrior on Esquire from 7am-6pm? ION Television has a Criminal Minds marathon from 9am-3am, while USA Network goes with a NCIS marathon from 7am-8pm. WGN America has a Blue Bloods marathon from 9am-7pm, while Lonesome Dove airs on Encore starting at 7am. And if you're into reality TV, we have a Keeping Up with the Kardashians marathon starting at 3pm through 11pm on E!, The Real Housewives of New Jersey marathon on Bravo beginning at 6am and a Shark Tank marathon on CNBC from 1pm-11pm. More marathons include AMC's Jaws movies marathon starting at 1pm, Pink Panther movies on Movies! beginning at 5am, Back to the Future trilogy marathon on Discovery Family starting at 5pm and a Marvel movies marathon on FX from 7am-2am. BBC America has a patriotic themed movie marathon that runs today and all-day on the 4th of July from 7am-9pm, which movies like Black Hawk Down and The Hurt Locker.
Firweworks in primetime are on NBC (Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular) from 8-10pm (with an abbreviated encore at 10pm). PBS has a A Capitol Fourth hosted by the best live host in the business, Tom Bergeron, live from Washington D.C. at 8pm. Bring out your lawn chair, throw some burgers on the BBQ, and watch some television!
