Fox Fall 2016 Premiere Dates; Sitcom Stars on Talk Shows (Week of June 20, 2016)

Fox

Fox has set the fall premiere dates for its new and returning series. And all of the premieres will be in the actual TV premiere week. All-new episodes of Gotham and Lucifer return Monday, Sept. 19 airing from 8-10pm. Tuesday nights of comedy begin Tuesday, Sept. 20 with the return of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, New Girl and the one-hour Scream Queens. Beginning Sept. 21, Wednesdays are explosive, with the series premiere of Lethal Weapon at 8pm and the return of Empire at 9. Based on the hit movie franchise of the same name, Lethal Weapon (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) follows iconic cop duo Riggs (Clayne Crawford, Rectify) and MURTAUGH (Emmy Award nominee Damon Wayans, My Wife and Kids, In Living Color), as they work a crime-ridden beat in modern-day Los Angeles.

All-new episodes of Rosewood return on a new night of Thursdays, followed by the series premiere of Pitch, beginning Thursday, Sept. 22. Pitch (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) is the dramatic and emotional story of Ginny Baker (Kylie Bunbury, Under The Dome), who becomes the first woman to play Major League Baseball - under the glare of a white-hot media spotlight. Friday nights are terrifyingly entertaining, beginning Sept. 23, with the return of Hell's Kitchen and the series premiere of The Exorcist at 9. That series returns as a contemporary psychological TV thriller following two very different priests tackling one family's case of terrifying demonic possession. The series stars Academy Award and Golden Globe winner Geena Davis (Commander in Chief, Thelma & Louise), Alfonso Herrera (Sense8, The Chosen) and Ben Daniels (Flesh and Bone, House of Cards).

Sunday Funday returns beginning Sept. 25, with the season premieres of Emmy Award-winning comedy Bob's Burgers (7:30PM ET/PT) and the unprecedented 28th season of The Simpsons (8:00PM ET/PT), followed by the premiere of hybrid live-action/animated family comedy Son of Zorn (8:30PM ET/PT). Featuring the voice of Jason Sudeikis, Son of Zorn follows an animated warrior from a faraway island in the Pacific Ocean, who returns to Orange County, CA, to win back his live-action ex-wife (Cheryl Hines, Curb Your Enthusiasm) and teenage son (Johnny Pemberton, 21 Jump Street). Rounding out the night are the 14th season premiere of creator Seth MacFarlane's Family Guy (9:00PM ET/PT) and Season Three of the critically acclaimed live-action comedy The Last Man on Earth (9:30PM ET/PT), created by and starring Emmy Award nominee Will Forte.
