HIGHLIGHTS FROM SITCOMSONLINE.COM AND AROUND THE WEB

  • Weeds costars Kevin Nealon and Elizabeth Perkins may be coming together again with an Amy Poehler produced pilot for NBC. (Hollywood Reporter)

  • Bones has been a part of the Fox lineup since September 2005, but next season, it will come to an end with a 12 episode final season. (Variety)

HOME MEDIA HIGHLIGHTS
  • TVShowsOnDVD.com reports that Hot in Cleveland will finally be wrapped up on DVD, with a release of both the final season and a complete series release.

TUESDAY (MARCH 1) HOME MEDIA RELEASES

  • The Bold Ones - The New Doctors (DVD, $59.99): Shout! Factory wraps up the final series in the franchise with this release.
  • My Big Fat Greek Life - The Complete Series (DVD, $9.98): The short-lived sitcom based upon the hit movie returns to DVD once again as a re-release from Mill Creek.
  • Future Cop - The Complete Series (DVD, $14.98): Mill Creek goes deep into the archives with this release of this rare (and never-before-released on DVD) 1970s series starring Ernest Borgnine and John Amos
  • The Unauthorized Collection: 4-Film Set (DVD, $14.98): If you liked the cheesy Lifetime unauthorized movies about series such as Full House, Saved by the Bell, Beverly Hills 90210, and Melrose Place, this movie collection puts all of them in one set.

Who to Follow: Kevin Nealon (Twitter), "Accommodator/Apologist/Passive Aggressor"
Claim to Fame: Kevin Nealon first appeared in a stand-up set on an episode of Johnny Carson's version of The Tonight Show in 1985, and soon thereafter, he went on to Saturday Night Live, where he was a regular for nine seasons. He appeared in just about every one of the successful (though cheesy) late 1990s Adam Sandler movies before he landed his first sitcom role on the short-lived Hiller and Diller. One of his biggest roles was in the Showtime series Weeds, where he was the only cast member outside of the Botwin family to appear as a regular in all eight seasons. He has been seeking sitcom roles lately, and was even cast in a CBS pilot a year ago that didn't make it. Now, he is being cast in an NBC pilot alongside Elizabeth Perkins.
Pick of the Tweets: "Celia, Lets have another fling! xo, Doug Wilson #Weeds #Legendary" (in response to Elizabeth Perkins tweeting that they may be working together on the small screen again) (February 22, 2016)
