COZI TV Comedy Search; Sitcom Stars on Talk Shows (Week of May 4, 2015)

COZI Comedy Search

COZI TV is excited to announce the launch of the COZI TV Comedy Search produced in association with the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival. This unique contest offers undiscovered talent the opportunity to take their best shot at being crowned America's newest comic champ. The Grand Prize winner receives a $2,500 cash prize, the chance to appear on COZI TV and an all-expenses paid trip to Jamestown, New York – Lucille Ball's hometown – to perform at this year's festival. The COZI TV Comedy Search will launch today (Friday, May 1). The on-line contest will include multiple phases of competition including viewer voting and a celebrity judge panel that includes comedians Tom Cotter, Kerri Louise, Chuck Nice and Jon Rineman. Participants are encouraged to submit audition videos to the contest’s web page on cozitv.com through Saturday, May 31. After a screening process, the top ten comedians will be selected and revealed on-air and on-line, where viewers will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite four finalists until Monday, June 25. From there, COZI TV's celebrity judges will pick a winner, who will be revealed on Monday, July 20. Good luck to all of the aspiring comedians!

The Lucille Ball Comedy Festival (lucycomedyfest.com) is an annual event that showcases big stars – and up and coming comedians – in Lucy's hometown. The 2015 festival will be held July 30 – August 2 and features headliner Jerry Seinfeld. It's produced by the Lucy Desi Center for Comedy, which is dedicated to preserving the legacy of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz and the development of the comedic arts.
