Netflix Announces 2015 Original Premiere Dates; Scandal Stars Go on the Chase on GSN

Netflix - The Perfect Summer Getaway

Netflix announced premiere dates for its upcoming slate of original series and stand-up comedy specials. Original stand-up comedy specials are Chris D'Elia: Incorrigible - April 17, Jen Kirkman: I'm Gonna Die Alone (And I Feel Fine) - May 22, and What Happened, Miss Simone - June 26. As for original series, new series Between premieres in May, 2015, an original survivalist thriller series, created by award-winning writer/director Michael McGowan (Still Mine, One Week, Saint Ralph) and starring Jennette McCurdy (iCarly, Sam & Cat). New drama Sense8 premieres June 5, a gripping global tale of minds linked and souls hunted with stars like Naveen Andrews. An all-new season of Orange Is the New Black premieres June 12. Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp premieres July 17, which is a limited 8-episode series with Elizabeth Banks, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper, Judah Friedlander, Janeane Garofalo, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Christopher Meloni, Marguerite Moreau, Zak Orth, Amy Poehler, David Hyde Pierce, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon, and Michael Showalter joining the series, which tells the story of the first day of Camp Firewood's famous summer season, now fourteen years after the film's debut. And coming soon are new drama Narcos and new comedy Club de Cuervos. More info on those two soon.


The Chase - GSN

Stars from the hit ABC drama series Scandal will be featured in a special season finale of GSN's Emmy(R)-nominated The Chase, airing Tuesday, March 10 at 8:00pm ET/PT. Actors Joe Morton, Kate Burton and Brian Letscher will face-off against British trivia master Mark Labbett (aka "The Beast") in the ultimate trivia challenge, attempting to raise money for their respective charities. Hosted by Brooke Burns, The Chase is one of GSN's most popular original series, attracting more than 18 million total viewers since its premiere in August 2013. The season four premiere on January 27 saw its highest rating ever for a premiere. Throughout its season three run, the series posted impressive ratings growth among P18-49 (+52%), P25-54 (+56%), W25-54 (+36%), W18-49 (+30%), with total viewership up 37%, vs. GSN's year-to-date time period average.
