NBC Announces Tentpole Summer 2015 Schedule; The Soul Man Goes Live for Season 4 Premiere
NBC has announced premiere dates for its summer tentpole programming, including the #1 most-watched summer show of the past nine years, America's Got Talent. First up, is American Ninja Warrior on Monday, May 25, from 8-10 pm. The series will air for two-hours on Monday nights thereafter. Then on the next night, it is the return of America's Got Talent on Tuesday, May 26 from 8-10 pm. The Wednesday edition will begin July 1 at 8:00pm ET/PT. There will also be two-hour repeats every Friday from 8:00–10:00pm ET/PT starting May 29, followed by Dateline at 10. Then new series Aquarius premieres on Thursday, May 28 with a two-hour premiere from 9-11 pm. Then beginning Thursday, June 4 it will settle into the 9-10 pm hour. Emma Dumont (Salvation) and David Duchovny (Californication, The X-Files) star. And the final announcement so far is for a new season of Hannibal premiering Thursday, June 4 at 10pm. No second takes, no rewrites: On Wednesday, March 18 at 10:30 PM ET/PT The Soul Man is going LIVE for its season premiere! Cedric "The Entertainer," Niecy Nash and Wesley Jonathan are pulling out all the stops for the season 4 return, and they're bringing along special guest star Sherri Shepherd for the ride. Shepherd will guest star as Nikki, Boyce's (Cedric) unruly cousin who always has a few tricks up her sleeve. The Soul Man will take over all social media platforms on premiere night by releasing exclusive guest star interviews, photos from the set and more. The cast will also countdown to the live celebration by launching never-before-seen bloopers using the hashtag #NoSecondTakes. The official hashtag for premiere night is #SOULMANLive. The Soul Man follows the spring premiere of Hot in Cleveland at 10, as that series counts down its final episodes.
