New York City Locals Fall 2010 Schedules; New Dancing with the Stars Cast Features Sitcom Stars

It's that time of year again...fall 2010 schedules for New York City stations! I have for you the full schedules for WNYW, WWOR and WPIX. Unfortunately, I couldn't obtain the schedules for WABC, WCBS, and WNBC at press time, but they rarely make changes and we have info on new shows coming to those stations still. Independent WLNY's schedule also is not known at this time.
We'll start with WNYW's (Fox5) Fall 2010 schedule. New series this fall are Swift Justice with Nancy Grace airing back-to-back at 2pm & 2:30pm starting Sept. 13 and True Hollywood Story will air Sunday nights at 1am starting Sept. 26. Everything else is will not be new, but we do have some time changes. Judge Jeannine Pirro moves from weekdays at 2pm to 12 noon, replacing the second run of TMZ and a third run of Judge Alex. Also, leaving the line-up totally will be Saved by the Bell (Saturdays 7am) starting Sept. 25 and American Idol Rewind (Saturday & Sunday nights at 1am) starting Sept. 26. Made in Hollywood: Teen Edition will replace Saved by the Bell on Saturdays at 7am. American Latino and Latination will air Saturday nights in the 1am hour coming from sister network WWOR.
Sister network WWOR (My9) will be making more changes than WNYW in Fall 2010. New series this fall are Don't Forget the Lyrics weekdays at 2pm & 2:30pm starting Sept. 20, Meet the Browns weekdays at 4:30pm & Sundays at 6:30pm starting Sept. 20, How I Met Your Mother Mon-Sat at 7pm & 7:30pm starting Sept. 13, The Closer Sundays at 8pm & 9pm starting Sept. 19, The Unit Sunday nights at 11pm & 12am starting Sept. 26, and Mystery Hunters E/I Wednesdays at 7am starting Sept. 29. Joining the schedule from WPIX will be South Park airing weeknights at 12:35am starting Sept. 13. Among the series leaving are Half & Half, Bernie Mac, Malcolm in the Middle, Desperate Housewives, Boston Legal, and Jack Hanna: Into the Wild. All of those series are leaving broadcast syndication. Current series moving to new timeslots are America's Funniest Home Videos to weekdays at 7:30am starting Sept. 20, That '70s Show weekdays at 8:30am starting Sept. 7, Divorce Court and Judge Alex will swap the 11am & 12pm hours starting Sept. 13, The Wendy Williams Show will move to weekdays at 5pm starting Sept. 13, as My Wife & Kids moves to 3pm and Everybody Hates Chris moves to 3:30pm. House of Payne moves to the 4pm hour starting Sept. 20 and the late airing moves to 11:35pm starting Sept. 13. The King of Queens moves to 6:30pm & 10pm starting Sept. 13 sharing the hour with Everybody Loves Raymond. In late nights, My Name is Earl will air at 12:05am starting week of Sept. 13, while Law & Order: SVU moves to 1:05am. As for weekends, House will now air Saturdays at 8pm & 9pm starting Sept. 18 and Bones will air on weekends at 10pm.
Moving on to WPIX's (CW11) Fall 210 schedule. Weekly E/I programs have M@dAbout and Young Icons airing Saturdays in the 12pm hour and Career Day Sundays at 12:30pm joining Eco Company. CW Daytime is now only one hour at 4pm with the Best of Tyra Banks. Among the series leaving are Street Court, Legend of the Seeker, Chappelle's Show, Brian McKnight Show, Reno 911 and The Hills. Current series moving to new times are Inside Edition to weekdays at 3pm, Friends' third airing moves to 12am, According to Jim moves to 1:30am, and George Lopez moves to 2:30am. Frasier moves to weekend late night/mornings airing early Saturday mornings from 4:30am-5:30am and early Sunday mornings from 4am-5:30am. Classic TV wise, The Honeymooners remain late nights on Sunday nights, while The Odd Couple will lead into Frasier on late Friday night/early Saturday morning at 4am. The Jeffersons airs as filler from time to time. Star Trek: The Next Generation remains weeknights at 3am. And WPIX News at 6 returns to weekends only, airing at 6pm leading into Friends.
Elsewhere, WABC (ABC7) will air Brothers and Sisters on late Saturday nights after the news at about 12:05am due to college football. LOST will have its final airing on October 3 and Grey's Anatomy remains on WABC Sunday nights at 11:35am & 12:35am. For WCBS (CBS2), Criminal Minds and NUMB3RS will replace CSI: NY and CSI: Miami on weekends after the news. And WNBC (NBC4) will make the most drastic changes of the big three stations, with Martha Stewart Show moving to Hallmark, they will air the new series Access Hollywood Live at 11am starting Sept. 13. With The Bonnie Hunt Show canceled, they will now air Real Housewives at 2pm leading into The Nate Berkus Show at 3pm replacing Deal Or No Deal. As we mentioned, we don't have any details on WLNY-55. They will lose LOST on October 4, though, as it leaves local syndication after two seasons. The series finale will air the weekend of Oct. 3-4 on all stations airing the program.
