Remington Steele Coming to AmericanLife TV in May; Two and a Half Men and CSI Writers Switcharoo
Remington Steele is an award winning detective television series first broadcast from 1982 to 1987. The series is an action, romantic comedy show that stars the handsome, enigmatic Irishman and 'future James Bond' Pierce Brosnan as a roguish thief, Remington Steele ("Before he was Bond, he was Remington Steele") and the beautiful and talented Stephanie Zimbalist as private detective Laura Holt. The show quickly took off and continues to be an American favorite.
There will be no other changes to the AmericanLife TV line-up. AmericanLife TV will continue to feature some of America's favorite classics in May, including: Mission Impossible, St. Elsewhere, Hill Street Blues, LA Law, Mary Tyler Moore Show, Bob Newhart Show, WKRP in Cincinnati, Lou Grant, Combat!, Burke's Law, Lost in Space, Trapper John MD, The Color Honeymooners, Batman, The Green Hornet and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea to name a few.
An unprecedented CSI and Two and a Half Men "writers' crossover" is happening next week on CBS!
A CSI investigating a murder at Charlie Harper's house? Grissom and the team investigating the mysterious death of a diva sitcom star? It's all part of a first-ever "writers' crossover," in which CSI's writers will write an episode of Two and a Half Men and Two and a Half Men's writers will write an episode of CSI.
The Monday, May 5 episode of Two and a Half Men is written by CSI writers Sarah Goldfinger and Evan Dunsky from a story by CSI executive producers Carol Mendelsohn and Naren Shankar. A CSI team investigates a mysterious death at Charlie's (Charlie Sheen) house. Robert Wagner and Jenny McCarthy guest star.
The Thursday, May 8 episode of CSI was written by Chuck Lorre and Lee Aronsohn, executive producers/writers of Two and a Half Men. Grissom (William Petersen) and the CSI team investigate the death of a diva sitcom star (guest star Katey Sagal) who dies suddenly while her show is filming in Las Vegas. Suspects include the entire writing staff, her loser husband and the actress who serves as her stand-in (Rachael Harris).
Should be fun!
Meanwhile, CBS has decided it will air new episodes of Shark Tuesdays at 9pm starting April 29 after all. It was originally slated for that slot but then CBS decided to move it to 10pm and have reruns of The Unit at 9pm, which didn't make too sense. Now Shark will air at 9pm following original episodes of NCIS and 10pm will be crime repeats of CBS's strongest crime dramas. This will only be for three weeks anyway, as Shark only has 3 original episodes remaining.
