Full Season For 'Brothers & Sisters'; Help Us Find Similar Sitcom Plots In Our SitcomsOnline.com Interactive Feature
The series is the second highest rated new show among adults 18-49 (behind Heroes) and the second highest rated show in viewers (behind another ABC newbie Ugly Betty).
Hopefully we see some sitcom full season pick-ups, but none so far have blasted off.
Today we are asking help from YOU! We are developing a SitcomsOnline.com Interactive feature for this blog that from time to time we will ask you guys for some help. Today I have come up with the topic of "similar sitcom episodes." Ever noticed that many sitcoms usually have same plots as other sitcoms? There are numerous examples, which makes the world of the sitcom so fascinating. Ever noticed how many sitcoms have camping episodes? Sanford & Son, Brady Bunch, Three's Company to name just a few are some that went camping. How about more specific plots--like joining a cult and finding out the leader of the cult is a con-artist like in What's Happening!!, Three's Company, Charles in Charge and others. Or all the goodies sitcom stars bake in various baking episodes such as the bibibokas episode of Perfect Strangers, the lemon tarts episode of Family Matters, the pie episode of Three's Company, and so many more. Other cool topics: stealing the school mascot (which is usually a goat), nude modeling, amnesia, fires, trapped somewhere, crashing a car you're not supposed to be even driving, and so much more! So, I have come up with a list of topics and listed some episodes I thought of off the top of my head and many people have added on episodes already and even added more categories. You too can help!
