Network Sitcom Orders and Cuts; Three's Company S5 DVD Review!
NBC has ordered three extra episodes of second season sitcom The Office. This is not confirmed yet, but is most likely going to happen. NBC originally ordered only 6 installments this season, then ordered 7 more in late September and now has ordered 3 more, bringing the total to 16 episodes--if my 1st grade math is correct. The show is doing terrible in the ratings, losing a lot of viewers from its lead-in, which happens to be rookie sensation My Name is Earl. Which is mind-boggling why NBC continues to order more episodes. I am expecting the show to be gone by February.
Meanwhile, The WB has cut the order of What I Like About You from 22 episodes to 18 episodes. It is doing terrible in the ratings on Fridays at 8 p.m. and the 8:30 p.m. encore is doing even worse. The WB was better off with Twins airing at 8:30, but Twins has done better at 9:30 after Reba. I'm sure this will be the last season of What I Like About You.
I got an advanced copy of the Three's Company Season 5 DVD. I have reviewed it and I would like to share my thoughts with you. You can read my review on my Three's Company website, by clicking on the DVD sets link--you'll find my review under the season 5 heading, of course. Please read it and hopefully you will buy the set as well. All the Chrissy phone tag scenes are intact! Be apart of sitcom history and watch all of them!
