ION Television Gets Festive for Holidays; USA Schedules Psych: The Movie
The holiday season is when time-honored traditions are celebrated, and for more families each year, that includes watching ION Television's lineup of festive movie titles. Following its most-watched holiday season ever in 2016, ION will debut the U.S. television premieres of five all-new original holiday movies beginning November 26. The "Very Merry" lineup also features more than 20 returning favorites, airing weekends in December through Christmas Day. Last year's holiday lineup registered double-digit ratings growth in key demos, with Households, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 increasing more than 15% year over year. A Cinderella Christmas, new in 2016, was ION Television's highest rated movie in three years, delivering more than 1.7 million total viewers.
ION Television's holiday movie season kicks off Sunday, November 26, with the premiere of Snowmance at 9/8c. Among the stars headlining ION's all-new holiday movies include Ashley Newbrough, Travis Milne, Tara Reid, Haley Pullos, and Vivica A. Fox.. The full movie schedule will be announced on iontelevision.com in November.
USA's Psych: The Movie will premiere Thursday, December 7 at 8/7c. You heard that right, Psych-O's! T-minus two months. The Psych stars reunited at New York Comic Con for a panel and Q&A discussion moderated by TVLine's founder and editor-in-chief Michael Ausiello. James Roday, Maggie Lawson, Kirsten Nelson and Corbin Bernsen, alongside creator Steve Franks and executive producer Chris Henze, shared fun behind-the-scene moments, challenged fans to participate in the ultimate pineapple toss and revealed WWE Superstar John Cena's return as Ewan O'Hara (Juliet's brother). After eight extraordinary seasons of the fan-favorite series' run which included a 100th episode milestone, a plethora of nicknames and catch phrases, a two-hour musical and A-list guest stars, cast James Roday, Dulé Hill, Maggie Lawson, Kirsten Nelson, Corbin Bernsen and Tim Omundson reunite for Psych: The Movie. Fake psychic detective Shawn Spencer and Burton "Gus" Guster open up their new office in San Francisco, appropriately (though perhaps awkwardly) named psychphrancisco, and are back in business solving a case after a mystery assailant targets one of their own. A comedic thrill ride follows, as the wild and unpredictable Psych team pursues the bad guys, justice ... and food!
Previously announced guest stars include Zachary Levi as Thin White Duke, Kurt Fuller as Woody the Coroner, Jazmyn Simon as Selene, Ralph Macchio as Nick Conforth, WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair as Heather Rockrear and Jimmi Simpson as Mary Lightly in his third posthumous appearance. PSYCH: THE MOVIE is co-written by creator and director Steve Franks with James Roday. It is executive produced by Franks, Roday and Hill, Chris Henze of Thruline/Tagline TV and Kelly Kulchak. The special is from Universal Cable Productions in association with Thruline/Tagline.

TBS Fall 2011 Schedule; ION Adds Monk, Psych This Month, House in Fall 2012
TBS usually makes changes to its regular daytime schedule and this year they will as well. The changes start the week after The Big Bang Theory joins the line-up. Starting Monday, Sept. 26, we have these changes. Saved by the Bell fans you know you lost the 7am hour to Home Improvement earlier this year, but now the comedy will lose its 8am hour as well, as Fresh Prince of Bel-Air will move to the 8am hour. It seems as if the Saved by the Bell contract will be expiring from the network, as it is not on the line-up anymore. We are not 100% sure if the contract is expiring, but we will find out soon. The last time the contract was renewed was in Fall 2006. The series has been on TBS since 1992.
UPDATE: The Saved by the Bell contract is expiring in March 2012, so it will be on hiatus for now.
Moving on, the 9am hour will now be another Fresh Prince airing followed by House of Payne, in a new timeslot. Also Meet the Browns will air at 10am, followed by Yes, Dear which gets a time improvement. Another Yes, Dear will air at 11am, followed by Everybody Loves Raymond at 11:30am. According to Jim's first airing moves to 12 noon, while Meet the Browns remains at 12:30pm, so it gained a second airing at 10am. The 1pm hour will remain the same with American Dad! and My Name is Earl, as will Everybody Loves Raymond at 2pm. TBS will add a third airing of Friends and will air it at 2:30pm (in addition to 4-5pm). And the final change will be The Office and According to Jim switching half-hours at 3pm. The late afternoon/early evening line-up of Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, The King of Queens and Seinfeld, will remain intact from 4pm-8pm. If you counted, Everybody Loves Raymond will air four times a day (11:30am, 2pm, and 5-6pm)! We will keep you up to date if anything changes.
