Apple TV+ Prime Target Trailer; Apple Cider Vinegar Premieres in February on Netflix
Apple TV+ unveiled the trailer and key art for new conspiracy thriller Prime Target, starring SAG Award winner Leo Woodall (The White Lotus, One Day) and Quintessa Swindell (Black Adam, In Treatment). Created by award-winning writer Steve Thompson (Sherlock, Vienna Blood), who also serves as executive producer, the new drama is produced for Apple TV+ by New Regency with Ridley Scott's Scott Free Productions. The eight-episode series will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on January 22, with the first two episodes, followed by one episode weekly, every Wednesday through March 5.
Prime Target features a brilliant young math postgraduate, Edward Brooks (played by Woodall), who is on the verge of a major breakthrough. If he succeeds in finding a pattern in prime numbers, he will hold the key to every computer in the world. Soon, he begins to realize an unseen enemy is trying to destroy his idea before it's even born, which throws him into the orbit of Taylah Sanders, an NSA agent (played by Swindell) who’s been tasked with watching and reporting on mathematicians' behavior. Together, they start to unravel the troubling conspiracy Edward is at the heart of. The cast also includes Academy Award nominee and BAFTA Award winner Stephen Rea, BAFTA Award nominee David Morrissey, Emmy Award winner Martha Plimpton, BAFTA Award winner Sidse Babett Knudsen, SAG Award nominee Jason Flemyng, BAFTA Award nominee Harry Lloyd, Ali Suliman, Fra Fee and Joseph Mydell.
Set at the birth of Instagram, Apple Cider Vinegar follows two young women who set out to cure their life-threatening illnesses through health and wellness, influencing their global online communities along the way. All of which would be incredibly inspiring if it were all true. This is a true-ish story based on a lie, about the rise and fall of a wellness empire; the culture that built it up and the people who tore it down. Apple Cider Vinegar premieres February 6, only on Netflix.
Cast: Kaitlyn Dever (Dopesick, Unbelievable), Alycia Debnam-Carey (The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, Fear the Walking Dead), Aisha Dee (The Bold Type, Safe Home), Tilda Cobham-Hervey (The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, I Am Woman), Ashley Zukerman (Succession), Mark Coles Smith (Mystery Road: Origin), Susie Porter (Irreverent, Wentworth), Matt Nable (Transfusion, Last King of the Cross), Phoenix Raei (The Night Agent), Chai Hansen (Night Sky, The New Legends of Monkey), Richard Davies (Offspring), Kieran Darcy-Smith (Mr Inbetween), Catherine McClements (Total Control) and Essie Davis (The Babadook, Game of Thrones).
