Showtime and Paramount Network Set Simultaneous Premiere; Jeff Dunham's New Comedy Central Special

SHOWTIME(R) announced that it has picked up the six-part limited series George & Tammy, starring Oscar winner Jessica Chastain (The Eyes of Tammy Faye) and Oscar nominee Michael Shannon (Nocturnal Animals, Revolutionary Road). The series is created by Abe Sylvia (The Eyes of Tammy Faye, Nurse Jackie), directed by John Hillcoat (The Road) and produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios, Freckle Films, Mad Chance, Brolin Productions, Aunt Sylvia's Moving Picture Co. and Blank Films Inc.
The premiere episode of George & Tammy will debut simultaneously on SHOWTIME and on the Paramount Network behind Yellowstone commercial free on Sunday, December 4 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The remainder of the season will be available exclusively on SHOWTIME, with new episodes available on streaming and on demand for all SHOWTIME as well as PARAMOUNT+ with SHOWTIME bundle subscribers on Fridays, before making its on-air debut on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The series will also begin rolling out across additional Paramount+ markets outside the US and Canada. Starring alongside Chastain and Shannon, the impressive ensemble cast includes Steve Zahn (The White Lotus), Kelly McCormack (A League of Their Own), Walton Goggins (The Righteous Gemstones), Pat Healy (Station 19), David Wilson Barnes (Perry Mason) and Katy Mixon (American Housewife).
Comedy Central announced a new one-hour special from global stand up superstar Jeff Dunham. Jeff Dunham: Me the People, is set to world premiere during Thanksgiving weekend on Friday, November 25th at 8:00pm ET/ PT. Shot at the historic Warner Theatre in Washington, DC, "Me the People" is Jeff's 11th stand up special. With the help of many of his beloved characters (and even a brand new one!), Dunham tackles how much time we dedicate to our devices, the ridiculous things we spend money on, and cancel culture in comedy.
The special is executive produced by Judi Marmel, Stu Schreiberg and John Bravakis. Ryan Moran is the executive producer for Paramount Media Networks & MTV Entertainment Studios, with Harold BerĂ³n III as executive in charge of production. Jeff Dunham: Me the People follows his last special Completely Unrehearsed Last Minute Pandemic Holiday Special which premiered on Comedy Central in November 2020. Dunham's specials have a storied and successful ratings history on Comedy Central with Unhinged in Hollywood, Completely Unrehearsed Last Minute Pandemic Holiday Special and Very Special X-Mas ranking as the top three stand-up specials to date among total viewers P2+. In addition, Dunham has the eight most watched stand-ups on Comedy Central to-date.
