Production on the first season of the half-hour multicamera comedy from Warner Bros. Television and Doozer Productions is slated to begin in summer 2021 in Los Angeles. Head of the Class revolves around a group of overachieving high school students who meet their greatest challenge - a teacher, Alicia Adams (Isabella Gomez - One Day at a Time), who wants them to focus less on grades and more on experiencing life. Isabella Gomez (One Day at a Time, Matador), Jorge Diaz (The Long Road Home, East Los High), Jolie Hoang Rappaport (Watchmen, Just Add Magic, Cousins for Life), Gavin Lewis (Little Fires Everywhere, Prince of Peoria), Dior Goodjohn (Glee, Raven's Home, The Unicorn), Brandon Severs (Diary of a Future President), Adrian Matthew Escalona, and Katie Beth Hall (Happy!, Better Call Saul, Bull). Christa Miller (Cougar Town, Scrubs, The Drew Carey Show) guest stars.
Bill Lawrence (Ted Lasso, Cougar Town, Scrubs) will serve as executive producer of Head of the Class alongside Amy Pocha (Paradise PD, American Vandal) & Seth Cohen (Paradise PD, American Vandal) and Doozer's Jeff Ingold (Ted Lasso).
