SitcomsOnline Digest: COVID-19 Shuts Down Production of Several Series; Busy Week of New Premieres

Welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! The news isn't so heavy this week, but it's a big week of debuts this week with new sitcoms and game shows appearing in time for midseason. Let's get going!

  • COVID-19 is shutting down production on several series. (Deadline) 
  • Deadline has made their list of the 21 most influential TV series of the century, so far anyway. (Deadline)
  • Gilligan's Island star Dawn Wells has died, leaving Tina Louise as the only surviving cast member. (Associated Press)
  • The Office is now on Peacock, and there are some new "special features" available there, including a never before seen cold open for the finale. (Vulture)
  • HBO Max has added several new series, including Gossip Girl and The New Adventures of Old Christine. (SitcomsOnline)

  • NBC has the debut of Mr. Mayor on Thursday night.

  • As previously mentioned, you can now watch The Office on Peacock.
  • HBO Max has added several series, as previously mentioned.
  • The final season of Last Man Standing debuts Sunday on Fox.
  • getTV has new (old) series, including Starsky & Hutch, Charlie's Angels, and Hart to Hart.
  • More Twilight Zone continues this weekend on Decades.

The Ms. Pat Show - "Give It Arrest" (BET, 9:30PM ET/PT)
Pat lands in the hospital again when she continues to neglect her self-care, and if she won't listen to her family, then maybe she'll listen to a good scolding from Rabbit.
