SitcomsOnline Digest: Is Alice Next in Line for a Reboot?; CBS Gives Full Season to Three New Series
- Here we go again with another reboot project being floated, and this one is a very surprising one: Alice. (Variety)
- CBS has given full season orders to three of the new series that debuted this fall, including The Neighborhood. (Hollywood Reporter)
- A new sitcom is in development at Fox from the executive producer of The Middle, and it sounds a lot like a reboot of The Middle with a new cast and the father narrating instead of the mother. (Deadline)
- Instead of asking what Matthew Broderick is doing, it might be better to ask what he isn't doing, as he currently slated to star in a Netflix project, recur on The Conners (as a love interest for Jackie), and recur on the FX series Better Things. (Deadline)
- Orange is the New Black was a huge hit when it first debuted on Netflix, but just like creator Jenji Kohan's series Weeds, it isn't quite as big as it used to be, and now the final season is being planned for next year. (Vulture)

- You can catch the second season of Great News on Netflix starting on Thursday.
