Week 5 TV Ratings and Analysis; How the Sitcoms Did

2016-17 Week 5 TV Ratings (first four nights Mon-Thu): 

Households: #1. CBS 6.63/11 rating/share (+3% in rating from first four nights week 4); #2. NBC 4.85/8 (even); #3. ABC 3.93/7 (-2%); #4. Fox 2.35/4 (-9%); #5. The CW 1.06/2 (-3%).
Total Viewers: #1. CBS 10.790 million (+3% from first four nights week 4); #2. NBC 7.781 million (+2%); #3. ABC 6.134 million (-1%); #4. Fox 3.840 million (-8%); #5. The CW 1.683 million (-6%).
Adults 18-49: #1. CBS 2.42/8 rating/share (+3% in rating from first four nights week 4); #2. NBC  1.84/6 (even); #3. ABC 1.40/5 (-5%); #4. Fox 1.26/4 (-5%); #5. The CW 0.61/2 (-5%)

We have previous week's final ratings, Week 4 (10/10/16-10/16/16, LIVE+SD). NBC won the week in A18-49, thanks to SNF and did a 1.92 rating.  CBS settled for #2 thanks with a 1.72 rating. Fox jumped to #3 with a 1.69 rating because of an NFL overrun, while ABC was #4 with a 1.45 rating.  Among total viewers, CBS was #1 with 9.106 million, with NBC #2 at 7.179 million.  ABC was #3 with 5.831 million and Fox at #4 with 5.107 million.

For season to-date (9/19/16-10/20/16, LIVE+SD), NBC is #1 in A18-49 with a 2.15 rating, followed by CBS at #2 with a 1.98 rating. ABC at #3 with a 1.45 rating and Fox at #4 with a 1.40 rating. Among total viewers it is CBS #1 at 9.739 million, followed by NBC at #2 with 7.816 million, ABC at #3 with 6.024 million and Fox at #4 with 4.198 million.
