Part 1 of Melissa & Joey Summer Finale Hits Season High; Sitcom Stars on Talk Shows (Week of September 2, 2013)

The first part of the two-part Melissa & Joey summer finale on Wednesday spiked to a season high in the ratings across target female demos and set a 6-week high in Adults 18-34, Adults 18-49 and Viewers 12-34. The sitcom is Cable TV's #1 series at 8:00PM season to date in target demos. To further elaborate, Melissa & Joey climbed to season highs in Women 18-34 (326,000/1.0 rating), Women 18-49 (466,000/0.7 rating) and Females 12-34 (398,000/0.9 rating), and to 6-week highs in Adults 18-34 (412,000/0.6 rating), Adults 18-49 (617,000/0.5 rating) and Viewers 12-34 (496,000/0.5 rating). Season to date, Melissa & Joey is cable TV's #1 program in the time period across Adults 18-34 (508,000/0.8 rating), Women 18-34 (367,000/1.1 rating), Women 18-49 (567,000/0.9 rating), Viewers 12-34 (639,000/0.7 rating) and Females 12-34 (480,000/1.1 rating). Based on a full week of viewing, Melissa & Joey spikes by 50% in Total Viewers (1.408 million vs. 941,000), by 62% in Adults 18-34 (551,000 vs. 341,000), by 61% in Adults 18-49 (887,000 vs. 572,000) and by 56% in Viewers 12-34 (699,000 vs. 449,000). The second part of the summer finale continues Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 8|7c with guest star Doris Roberts returning.

At 8:30 p.m., fellow sitcom Baby Daddy hit a 4-week high in Adults 18-34 (368,000/0.5 A18-34 rating), Women 18-34 (276,000/0.8 rating) and Females 12-34 (370,000/0.8 rating), and set a 3-week high in Women 18-49 (395,000/0.6 rating). Season to date, Baby Daddy ranks as cable TV's #1 telecast in the half hour in Women 18-34 (390,000/1.2 rating) and Females 12-34 (534,000/1.2 rating), and is the #1 original cable TV program in Adults 18-34 (524,000/0.8 rating), Women 18-49 (564,000/0.9 rating) and Viewers 12-34 (691,000/0.8 rating). Season to date, based on Live + 7 ratings, Baby Daddy surges by 52% in Total Viewers (1.351 million vs. 890,000), by 80% in Adults 18-34 (577,000 vs. 320,000), by 61% in Adults 18-49 (843,000 vs. 523,000) and by 70% in Viewers 12-34 (760,000 vs. 448,000). The summer finale airs Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 8:30|7:30c.
