MeTV Network Gets More Affiliate Coverage; ABC Renews Wipeout for Season 5, Signs Vanessa Minnillo As Co-Host

ABC has announced that television personality Vanessa Minnillo will be the new co-host of the popular hit reality series, Wipeout, beginning next season. The fifth season pickup includes Winter and Summer edition Wipeout episodes for 2011-2012. Next season will also feature new camera technology, bringing viewers even closer to the action to witness the best "wipeouts" to date. Minnillo will first appear during Winter Wipeout. Twenty-four energetic contestants of all shapes and sizes will compete on the world's largest extreme obstacle course, highlighting contestants bouncing off the iconic Big Balls and falling head over heels throughout the qualifier until the final three make it to the ever challenging Wipeout Zone, providing laughs for the entire family. Wipeout is currently hosted by John Anderson (ESPN's SportsCenter), John Henson (E! Entertainment's Talk Soup) and co-hosted by Jill Wagner, who will leave after this season to purse more acting.
The fourth summer premiere of Wipeout is tonight, as season four continues on. The series will air air a special all-new sneak peek episode tonight before moving to Thursdays at 8:00pm for the rest of the summer starting this Thursday. Special episodes will also appear on Tuesdays the next few weeks, so it's double the wipeouts!
Speaking of Wipeout, ABC has launched a brand new series of hilarious video eCards called Wipeout Yourself. Each week, game show contestants take on extreme obstacle courses and experience some epic spills. Now it's time for you and your friends to star in your very own Wipeout! To get started, choose from 3 different obstacle courses, upload a photo of yourself or your friends and family, and customize with a soundtrack and sound effects. Then add a personal message and share your Wipeout through Facebook, Twitter, or Email.
