ABC Family July 2011 Has Secret Life Join Regular Schedule; ION Adds Men of a Certain Age
ABC Family will have a lot of original programming in primetime this summer, as new series air in primetime Mon-Wed. Look for encores of these series to air in the 6pm and 7pm hours on most weeknights this summer. Original programming has Secret Life and upcoming new drama Switched at Birth on Mondays; Pretty Little Liars and upcoming new drama The Nine Lives of Chloe King; and Wednesdays it is comedy with Melissa & Joey and upcoming new comedy State of Georgia.
The new ABC Family original movie Cyberbully starring Kay Panabaker (No Ordinary Family) premieres Sunday, July 17 at 8pm. Theatrical movie premieres for the month are Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, School of Rock, Step Up 2: The Streets and Jersey Girl. Of course you can catch encores of other movies such as the Harry Potter franchise, Bruce Almighty, Evan Almighty, Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Jurassic Park, Grease, Grease 2, Meet the Parents and way more.
Meanwhile, ION Television quietly added the TNT original series Men of a Certain Age starring Ray Romano to its Tuesday line-up on May 24. They are airing the first six episodes of season two Tuesdays at 10pm & 11pm, as of now four episodes have aired. Two more episodes will air next Tuesday but after that it isn't on the line-up again. TNT is continuing season two this June, so that is probably the reason. Perhaps ION is airing these six episodes as a promotional play for TNT. In fact episode 7 of the second season premiered on TNT last night.
This has been kept very low-key with no press, so we thought we would share this with you, even though there is just a week left. Stay with us if we have any more information if ION airs more than just the first six of this season. We'll be on top of it, stay with us.
