Summer Week 7 Sitcom Ratings; Coming Week Preview

Summer is in session and it's repeats galore mainly for sitcoms. We will be back with our normal weekly report with the first four nights numbers and analysis in the fall, but we still will have our regular how the sitcoms did all summer long, along with a coming week preview! Here are our summer ratings:

Last Sunday Sitcoms (counts for Week 6, week of July 5-11)
  • Sons of Tucson (Fox) - A new episode at 7pm did only 1.61 million and only a 0.7 18-49 rating but it was up from previous week's series lows on July 4.
  • The Simpsons (Fox) - A repeat did 3.71 million and a 1.7 18-49 rating. Substantially up from previous week on 4th of July.
  • The Cleveland Show (Fox) - 3.42 million and a 1.5 18-49 rating for a repeat, up a lot from previous week on 4th of July.
  • Family Guy (Fox) - A one-hour repeat did 3.87 million and a 1.8 18-49 rating...way up from previous week.
  • American Dad! (Fox) - A repeat at 7:30pm did just 1.91 million and a 0.9 18-49 rating, but up from previous week. The regular 9:30pm airing was preempted.

Summer Week 7 (July 12-18)

Monday Sitcoms
  • How I Met Your Mother (CBS) - 4.49 million and a 1.5 18-49 rating for a repeat. Down a bit really from previous week.
  • Rules of Engagement (CBS) - 5.03 million and a 1.7 18-49 rating for a repeat airing. Built from the lead-in again but down a bit from previous week.
  • Two and a Half Men (CBS) - 7.77 million and a 2.3 18-49 rating for a repeat, down from previous week in viewers but yet up a tick in 18-49.
  • The Big Bang Theory (CBS) - 7.83 million and a 2.4 18-49 rating for a repeat. Built from the lead-in but down some from previous week.
Tuesday Sitcoms
  • None.
Wednesday Sitcoms
  • The Middle (ABC) - The 8pm airing was preempted due to a repeat of Lucy Must Be Traded, Charlie Brown airing. But the 8:30pm repeat still aired and did 3.29 million and a 0.9 18-49 rating. Down from previous week, as the special didn't do so well.
  • Modern Family (ABC) - A repeat at 9pm did 4.05 million and a 1.3 18-49 rating. Down some from previous week.
  • Cougar Town (ABC) - A summer repeat did only 2.81 million and a 1.0 18-49 rating. On par really from previous week again. At least it is consistent.
Thursday Sitcoms
  • Community (NBC) - We don't have final ratings yet for Thursday, so we will use prelim numbers. A repeat at 8pm did a prelim 2.41 million and a prelim 0.8 18-49 rating...not good.
  • 30 Rock (NBC) - Getting ready for its new timeslot, a repeat at 8:30pm did a prelim 2.39 million and a prelim 0.8 18-49 rating. I don't think this show will do anything at 8:30in the fall.
  • The Office (NBC) - A repeat at 9pm did the best of the block but only at a prelim 2.97 million and a prelim 1.2 18-49 rating.
  • Parks and Recreation (NBC) - A repeat at 9:30pm did a prelim 2.49 million and a prelim 1.0 18-49 rating.

Friday Sitcoms

  • None.

Saturday Sitcoms
  • None.
