Summer Week 15 Sitcom Ratings; More Info on 'Charlie's Angels', 'Kung Fu' Marathons on i Network

The summer is near the end! Just 1 week left until the official start of the 2006-07 season! We already had two sitcoms debuting this past week along with a few new and returning Fox dramas. After next week's last week of summer ratings, we will be back with our full analysis, along with the sitcom ratings!
Week 15 Summer Ratings: Sitcom Edition:

Monday Sitcoms
  • Two and a Half Men (CBS) - 8.71 million for the 8 p.m. showing.
  • How I Met Your Mother (CBS) - 7.73 million for a repeat, can this show do better this fall?
  • Two and a Half Men (CBS) - A second helping did 10.33 million, just wonderful and it was a repeat!
  • The New Adventures of Old Christine (CBS) - Big drop from lead-in, 7.84 million.
  • One on One (UPN), All of Us (UPN), Girlfriends, Half & Half (UPN) - UPN is gone mostly everywhere now, as MyNetworkTV has taken a majority of the affiliates, so the numbers are just way way down for UPN this week. These sitcoms ranged from 830,000 to 930,000 viewers.

Tuesday Sitcoms

  • According to Jim (ABC) 4 episodes - The last week for this sitcom until whenever ABC decides to bring it back. Did decent: 4.81, 5.28, 6.14, and 6.27 million. You can catch this show still in syndication starting Sept. 18! See it from the beginning!
Wednesday Sitcoms
  • UPN Comedies: Special airings of Chris, All of Us, Girlfriends and Half & Half...8-10pm ranged from 760,000 to 990,000. Again remember, UPN is gone mostly everywhere now.
  • George Lopez (ABC) 4 episodes - Like Jim, this show is now gone until ABC decides to bring it back. Did OK for this marathon: 4.67, 5.04, 5.16 and 5.1 million.
  • Scrubs (NBC) - Two repeats did OK: 4.23 and 4.34 million...drop at 9:30 is not good.
Thursday Sitcoms
  • 'Til Death (Fox) - The first new sitcom and first original sitcom airing of the season. It did OK, nothing spectacular at all. 8.82 million, 5.7/10 HH rating, 3.1/10 A18-49 rating. Expect a drop next week. Brad Garrett should have went with CBS in a Raymond spin-off.
  • Happy Hour (Fox) - 6.97 million tuned in for the premiere episode. This show will probably be one of the first cancelations this fall. Don't get used to it, but I'm sure many of the people who tuned into this premiere threw up watching it. 4.5/7 HH rating for 4th in its time-slot--pathetic! 2.4/7 A18-49 is nothing to write home about either. We have some good sitcoms this fall, but these two from Fox are not on that list.
  • Everybody Hates Chris, Love Inc, Eve, Cuts (UPN) - Again a reminder, UPN is gone in most areas. Numbers are even down from normal: ranges from 550,000 to 870,000 viewers. Eve gets the lowest 18-49 number in UPN history probably with a 0.2/0 rating. Yes, a 0 share. But Love, Inc. got the worst viewers with 550,000.
Friday Sitcoms
  • What I Like About You, Twins, Reba, Living with Fran (The WB) - Just one more week and we are free from these!
Tonight (Sunday) Fox premieres its comedy block with season premieres of The Simpsons, American Dad, Family Guy, and The War at Home. It will be tough as the NFL is now on network television on Sundays, and CBS and ABC have 9/11 movies that will score big, though CBS's is an encore.

The i Network has given us the episode info for the 30th anniversary marathon for the action-crime drama Charlie's Angels airing Sept. 22-23 and the launch marathon of Kung Fu on Sept. 30 We have also learned that Kung Fu will air Sundays at 6 p.m. starting October 1, replacing Sue Thomas. We will have full i Network October details soon, but I can tell you to expect some goodies and some good Saturday marathons (like a 40th anniversary marathon of a certain sitcom we announced that will begin to air on the network in September)! But for now, click here for the episode info for the 30th anniversary marathon of Charlie's Angels and click here for the episodes for the launch of Kung Fu.
