I Dream of Jeannie DVD Coming; Network Sitcom Full Season Pick-Ups

I got my DVD review copy of Bewitched - The Complete Second Season in black & white a week ago or so, and much to my surprise there was a trailer for I Dream of Jeannie - The Complete 1st Season. But what is odd is at the end of the trailer it said, "own it now on DVD." Of course, it is not available at all right now. Sony usually has very old trailers on their TV DVDs, but this is the first time I've ever seen this trailer! This has to be taken as very good news. I think we will see this possibly when Bewitched's third season comes on DVD or whenever that I Dream of Jeannie big screen movie is out, right now it is slated for fall 2006 starring Jimmy Fallon and possibly Jessica Alba as Jeannie. The trailer seemed to have all color clips. Fans should be patient and wait for the official word from Sony, and of course TVShowsonDVD.com will bring that to you whenever that comes.

And look for my review of Bewitched's second season DVD very soon, as soon as we get the colorized copy as well!

And two new sitcoms have been picked up for the back nine, meaning ordered for a full 22-episode season. The two are UPN's Everybody Hates Chris and NBC's My Name is Earl, which is the highest rated sitcom among adults 18-49. And despite very poor ratings, NBC's sophomore sitcom The Office has been upped to 13 episodes, instead of the six that were originally ordered. Meanwhile, the FOX drama Prison Break was the first new series to be picked up for the back nine.

St. Denis Medical - "Here a Righteous Woman Comes" (NBC, 8:00PM ET/PT)
Joyce hosts a ribbon-cutting for the birthing center; Matt and Serena take on an awkward assignment; Ron tries to knock out a quick physical before his fishing trip.

The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins - "The World Is Full of Beaks" (NBC, 8:30PM ET/PT)
Tobin tries to keep his personal life separate from the documentary, but Reggie doesn't make it easy for him; Monica helps Brina with her music career.
