It's time for another edition of Fri-Yay! That means we will take a look back on some sitcom happenings in recent days or weeks or other fun sitcomy stuff. It's a sitcom lover's paradise! Happy Fri-Yay!

A few weeks ago, I praised the Netflix original sitcom One Day at a Time for its diverse cast, excellent use of multi-camera sitcom aesthetics, strong characterization and deft take on social issues. Since then, an internet grassroots movement of sorts has formed around the show, as its creators have revealed Netflix is on the fence about renewing the show for a third season. Honestly, I was shocked when I heard this. One Day at a Time is a strong candidate for the best original series Netflix has ever created (in my mind, only BoJack Horseman gives it a run for its money), so the fact that the streaming giant is considering scrapping the show after two seasons takes me by surprise.

Until about a year ago, Netflix didn't cancel anything. Even shows seemingly no one was talking about, from the lukewarm Will Arnett sad-com Flaked to the critically panned horror series Hemlock Grove, received second and, in some cases, additional seasons. Netflix was trying to build its empire, and it wasn't willing to count out anything as helping to build its empire. But finally, over the past year, Netflix has swung the axe on a few shows that weren't catching fire the way they had hoped, from YouTuber Miranda Sings' Haters Back Off (which had initial hype but saw it fade quickly) to the timidly received Girlboss to more disappointing cancellations like fan favorite sci-fi series Sense8 (which Netflix unexpectedly axed after two seasons, but did get a promise of a wrap-up special after widespread fan outcry.) It makes sense that a show like Girlboss, which was disliked by critics and never seemed to find much of an audience, isn't continuing. But considering Netflix does not release ratings, and their revenue comes from new subscribers rather than ad rates, what would be the sense in cancelling a well-loved show from a classic sitcom ureter like One Day at a Time? The series brings critical acclaim and star power to Netflix, something that certainly helps push forth their brand as a home of prestige television.

In addition, there is no show on TV quite like One Day at a Time. Its multi-camera aesthetic, its depiction of Cuban Americans unlike anything else on TV perhaps ever, its excellent handling of its bi-sexual teenage daughter character Elena and her LGBT friends, its warm heart and well-written jokes, its wonderful cast...One Day at a Time is an absolute gem of a TV show, one of the few revivals that matches (or arguably even tops) its original series and makes this revival trend seem far more worthwhile. The fact that Netflix gives multi-season renewals to Fuller House but leaves One Day at a Time on the bubble is, frankly, a disgrace. When it first started, Netflix seemed like the last great hope of excellent TV, and a place where it could thrive without the commercial pressure of ratings. Hopefully it can remain that way and keep a gem like One Day at a Time around as long as it deserves to be.

Freeform announced fan-favorite comedy series Young & Hungry will return for its final season on Wednesday, June 20 at 8:00 PM EDT/PDT. The final season (5B) sees Gabi and Josh finally together and in love, but now navigating their new status as a full-fledged couple. Meanwhile, the rest of Josh's staff, Yolanda and Elliot, are grappling with the change in work dynamic with Gabi as the "woman of the house." Sofia, Gabi's best friend, who begins to feel like a third wheel with the new couple, sets out on her own path to find love.

Additionally, Freeform has ordered into development a Young & Hungry movie, from the same series creative team including David Holden, Caryn Lucas, Ashley Tisdale, and Eric and Kim Tannenbaum, that will further the adventures of Gabi, Josh and their circle of friends. Young & Hungry is produced by Holden, Lucas, Tisdale, Jessica Rhoades and Eric and Kim Tannenbaum in association with CBS Television Studios. Gabi Moskowitz, of BrokeAssGourmet.com, is a San Francisco-based food blogger and contributed to the development of this project. The series stars Emily Osment, Jonathan Sadowski, Aimee Carrero, Kym Whitley and Rex Lee.

Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition is back on Sunday, April 15 at 9pm (all times ET/PT) with a new star-studded cast of cooking disasters who are determined to improve their kitchen game, including sitcom stars of past and present. In the six-episode season, food masters Anne Burrell and Tyler Florence each lead a team of recruits through an intense culinary boot camp where only the most improved cook is left standing and wins $25,000 for the charity of their choice and bragging rights for their team leader. This season's celebrity recruits are: Catherine Bach (The Dukes of Hazzard), Maria Bamford (Lady Dynamite), Nolan Gould (Modern Family), La Toya Jackson, Oscar Nunez (The Office), Bronson Pinchot (Perfect Strangers) and Ian Ziering (Beverly Hills, 90210).

In the first episode, Anne and Tyler immediately throw the celebrity recruits into their first challenge after they arrive. They must cook their signature dishes so the chefs can assess their skills, or lack thereof, in the kitchen. Then the chefs teach the celebrities how to make a Hollywood-worthy breakfast dish, which proves to be disastrous for these clueless cooks. After Anne and Tyler choose their teams, the celebrities are anxious to officially start their culinary training. Upcoming episodes feature a fish and chips challenge, pizza-from-scratch battle, guest appearance from last season's runner-up Melissa Peterman and an "Aluminum Foil Chef" competition. In the finale on Sunday, May 20th at 9pm, the two most improved recruits must cook a restaurant quality meal for guest judges Rocco DiSpirito, Cady Huffman and Aarthi Sampath, who will decide which one takes home $25,000 for the charity of their choice and bragging rights for their team leader.

Alexis Bledel is joining the second season of The Handmaid's Tale. The series will launch on Hulu on April 25 with two episodes, and continue thereafter with one episode a week for a total of thirteen episodes. Alexis plays Emily, a college professor who was a mother married to another woman before the war, has endured horrific punishment as Offred's Handmaid companion Ofglen. Cynical and hell-bent on revenge, she still treats the victims of Gilead with tenderness and compassion. The Emmy-winning drama series returns with a second season shaped by Offred's pregnancy and her ongoing fight to free her future child from the dystopian horrors of Gilead. "Gilead is within you" is a favorite saying of Aunt Lydia. In Season Two, Offred and all our characters will fight against - or succumb to - this dark truth.

The Handmaid's Tale stars Elisabeth Moss, Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Samira Wiley, Alexis Bledel, Ann Dowd, Max Minghella, Madeline Brewer, O-T Fagbenle and Amanda Brugel.

ABC announced that the network has picked up new seasons of four alternative series: the 29th season of AFV, 23rd season of The Bachelor, 27th season of Dancing with the Stars and second season of Child Support. The news broke via a social media "round-robin" between hosts Alfonso Ribeiro (@Alfonso_Ribeiro), Chris Harrison (@ChrisBHarrison), Fred Savage (@TheFredSavage), Tom Bergeron (@Tom_Bergeron) and Erin Andrews (@ErinAndrews). No word yet on other reality staples like Shark Tank and the recently premiered American Idol, but both will likely be back.

CNBC announced the network has greenlit one of America's most popular and beloved game shows, Deal or No Deal, with its iconic host Howie Mandel. The reimagined Deal or No Deal will feature all the high energy and risk-reward that captivated audiences, with some exciting new twists. Produced for CNBC by Emmy-winning Production Company Truly Original, a subsidiary of Endemol Shine North America, the new Deal or No Deal will join CNBC's primetime lineup in fourth quarter 2018. Mandel, who hosted the original series that ran on NBC from 2005-2009, returns to host and executive produce the series, as does Executive Producer and showrunner of the original series, Scott St. John.

On the hit game show Deal or No Deal, contestants play and deal for a top prize of $1 million. With 26 sealed briefcases full of varying amounts of cash - ranging from a penny to $1 million - and the mysterious entity known only as "the Banker," contestants are faced with a game of odds and chance and whether to accept an offer of cash from "the Banker" in exchange for what might be contained in the contestant's chosen briefcase.

Steve Baldikoski and Bryan Behar have been named executive producers and showrunners for the upcoming fourth season of the hit Netflix series Fuller House. Both Baldikoski and Behar have served as co-executive producers from the series' launch in 2016. Baldikoski and Behar have also previously served as co-executive producers on The New Adventures of Old Christine, 8 Simple Rules, Kirstie and Save Me, and as consulting producers on the series Last Man Standing, Jennifer Falls and others. Season Four of Fuller House will go into production later this year. Fuller House is produced by Miller-Boyett Productions in association with Warner Horizon Scripted Television for Netflix. Fuller House stars Candace Cameron Bure as D.J. Tanner-Fuller, Jodie Sweetin as Stephanie Tanner, Andrea Barber as Kimmy Gibbler, Juan Pablo Di Pace as Fernando, Soni Nicole Bringas as Romona, Michael Campion as Jackson, Elias Harger as Max, Dashiell and Fox Messitt Twins as Baby Tommy, Scott Weinger as Steve Hale, John Brotherton as Matt Harmon, and Ashley Liao as Lola.

After a competitive bidding war that ignited Hollywood, Hulu has obtained the rights to develop Little Fires Everywhere, the highly-anticipated limited series from Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington, based on Celeste Ng's 2017 bestseller, as a Hulu Original Series. The project will be produced by Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine, Washington's Simpson Street and ABC Signature Studios, and will join Hulu's award-winning slate of original programming. Witherspoon and Washington will also star as leads in the series. Liz Tigelaar (Life Unexpected, Casual) will write and serve as showrunner and executive producer.

Based on the New York Times Best Seller of the same name, Little Fires Everywhere follows the intertwined fates of the picture-perfect Richardson family and an enigmatic mother and daughter who upend their lives. The story explores the weight of secrets, the nature of art and identity, the ferocious pull of motherhood - and the danger in believing that following the rules can avert disaster.

Next month, HBO launches the late-night docu-series Wyatt Cenac's Problem Areas, which follows the Emmy(R) and WGA Award-winning comedian and writer as he explores America's most pressing issues. Kicking off its ten-episode season Friday, April 13 (11:30 p.m.-midnight ET/PT), the show is the latest addition to the network's slate of late-night talk/comedy series, joining Real Time with Bill Maher and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.

Cenac, a longtime correspondent for The Daily Show, examines a wide range of social and cultural problems facing Americans in the show, which will feature documentary-style field reports that serve as the focal point of each episode. These segments will take him around the country, from suburban Minneapolis to downtown Cincinnati to rural Texas, as he investigates systemic issues from his unique perspective. Cenac will also tackle more benign problems facing Americans, offering comedic solutions to everyday inconveniences. In addition, Wyatt Cenac's Problem Areas will feature in-studio commentary on current events, addressing issues and engaging the audience to keep the conversation going through social media.


Welcome back to the sprawling Southern California suburb of Santa Clarita, where the weather is good and the undead are... still adjusting to life among the living. Watch Sheila, Joel and Abby Hammond continue to navigate the murky waters of zombie-ism in this all-new trailer below for Santa Clarita Diet Season 2, launching Friday, March 23 globally on Netflix.

In Santa Clarita Diet, Joel (Timothy Olyphant) and Sheila (Drew Barrymore) are husband and wife realtors leading vaguely discontented lives in the L.A. suburb of Santa Clarita with their teenaged daughter Abby (Liv Hewson), until Sheila goes through a dramatic change sending their lives down a road of death and destruction...but in a good way. Picking up right where we left off, Season 2 of Santa Clarita Diet finds the Hammonds trying to adapt to Sheila's now-advanced undead state -- even though she's desperately working to hold on to her suburban lifestyle and not be defined as just another monster. Unfortunately -- while the family has become markedly better at murder -- the number of missing people in Santa Clarita is starting to pile up and it's no longer going unnoticed. Meanwhile, the Hammonds are chasing the source of the virus so they can stop it from spreading and save humanity -- which seems important. Through it all, Sheila and Joel are grounded by their unconditional love for one another. Sure, being undead -- or loving someone who is -- isn't always easy, but don't all relationships have their challenges?

Additionally, Marla Gibbs is making a return to the small screen on a Grey's Anatomy spinoff and a long-running soap opera has been renewed for yet another season. Let's get going!

HIGHLIGHTS FROM SITCOMSONLINE.COM AND AROUND THE WEB

It's time for another edition of Fri-Yay! That means we will take a look back on some sitcom happenings in recent days or weeks or other fun sitcomy stuff. It's a sitcom lover's paradise! Happy Fri-Yay!

It's pretty fair, at this point, to say that this was a bust year for new sitcoms. After NBC's AP Bio has gotten off to a slow start both commercially and critically, it becomes the latest in a long line of disappointing network comedies. Is this the end for network comedies? Have streaming and cable finally overtaken the network sitcom we all know and love? Well...maybe not. Every time there's an off year for sitcoms, it seems that armies of people become ready to bury the network sitcom, and yet it always comes back eventually. Still, it'd be nice to have a solid new slate of sitcoms next year. Here are some things I'd like to see from upcoming network sitcoms.

Interesting concepts. The best comedy on network TV right now is The Good Place, and while that show works largely because of its excellent cast and top-notch writing, its truly unique concept certainly helps. The show feels absolutely nothing like anything else on TV, and it's managed to still be a critical and commercial success. I would love to see more of The Good Place's innovation on network television. After all, its success proves that show can be as original and mind-blowing as The Good Place and still pull in a large enough audience to be an easy renewal every year. So what's network TV's excuse?

Ensemble comedies. Over the past few years, the ensemble comedy has sort of fallen by the wayside. The one major exception is NBC's Superstore, another of the few critical and commercially successful comedies left on broadcast TV. A few years ago, ensemble series were all the rage, from Community to The Office to Happy Endings to Cougar Town. I'd love to see them make a comeback. A good ensemble comedy can feel like hanging out with a cherished group of friends week after week.

High quality multi-camera sitcoms. The multi-camera sitcom has experienced a small creative resurgence with shows like The Carmichael Show (rest in peace...), One Day at a Time and Mom, but it still feels like networks aren't really giving them much effort. Even CBS, long the staple of the multi-camera sitcom, is focusing its attention more on its single-cams as of late than its multi-cams. But when done right, a multi-camera sitcom can be something special, broad enough to appeal to a wide audience but specific enough to really appeal to audience its crafted for. It would be great to see a show like One Day at a Time on broadcast television. Perhaps the Roseanne remake will do the trick. Which leads me to...

Less remakes. C'mon, networks - I get that it's tempting, but how long can this remake trend really last? After all, even Will & Grace has come down quite a bit since its big start. Remakes aren't sustainable, but new ideas and new talent is.

Nickelodeon announced it has greenlit a new live-action series, Cousins for Life (20 episodes), from veteran creators and executive producers Kevin Kopelow and Heath Seifert (Austin & Ally, All That). The new buddy comedy centers on 12-year-old cousins Stuart (Dallas Young) and Ivy (Scarlet Spencer), best friends who come from very different backgrounds, and learn to navigate life under one roof with their families. Cousins For Life begins production in Los Angeles this summer, and the series is scheduled to air later this year.

After Stuart's mom is deployed overseas, his fun-loving dad Clark (Ishmel Sahid) decides to move the family to Portland to live with his uptight brother Lewis (Ron G.) and his family, which includes Stuart's confident, socially active cousin Ivy and her younger, overly-curious brother Leaf (Micah Abbey). Now living in a brand new city, Stuart embarks on a variety of endeavors with Ivy that lead to hilarious adventures. Although the cousins do not always see eye-to-eye, Ivy and Stuart learn they are better together, and when they team up, they are unstoppable.

Continuing the momentum of the current season in which NBC is #1 in both 18-49 and total viewers, the network has announced the premiere dates for #1 summer series America's Got Talent, freshman success World of Dance and the two-time Emmy Award-nominated high-octane competition series American Ninja Warrior. In addition, adventure series Running Wild with Bear Grylls will be returning for its fourth season. And Making It, the six-episode series from executive producers, hosts and pop-culture's favorite comedic best friends, Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman, will make its premiere on NBC Tuesday, July 31 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. In an unsurprising announcement, ABC has renewed the hit drama series The Good Doctor for the 2018-19 season. Currently in its first season, The Good Doctor has been a breakout since its premiere in 2017. It has become ABC's most watched freshmen series in 13 years and is delivering triple-digit year-over-year time period increases to Monday's 10 o'clock hour for ABC in Total Viewers (+172%) and Adults 18-49 (+162%). In fact, The Good Doctor is producing the strongest improvement to any hour across the major networks' schedules this season.

Golden Globe(R) nominee, Freddie Highmore, stars as Dr. Shaun Murphy, a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome, who relocates from a quiet country life to join the prestigious St. Bonaventure hospital's surgical unit. Alone in the world and unable to personally connect with those around him, his only advocate, Dr. Aaron Glassman (Richard Schiff), challenges the skepticism and prejudices of the hospital's board and staff when he brings him in to join the team. Shaun will need to work harder than he ever has before, as he navigates his new environment and relationships to prove to his colleagues that his extraordinary medical gifts will save lives.

The Good Doctor returns with an all-new original episode on Monday, March 12, at 10:00 p.m. EDT, on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand. Vince (Anders Holm) would love to be living "the dream," but when his father died, his dream was pushed aside when he and his brother, Matthew (Andy Favreau), take over the gym that his father owned. Now, he has the opportunity to sell the gym and move to Florida... until an ex (special guest star Mindy Kaling) from about a dozen years ago arrives at the front door with the son (J.J. Totah) that he never knew he had.

Anders Holm (Vince) came to fame from the Comedy Central series Workaholics, where he was both a creator and a star. He also had a recurring role on The Mindy Project.

Andy Favreau (Matthew) has had guest roles in series including Will & Grace, The Mick, and 2 Broke Girls, among others. He is also the brother of Jon Favreau, a former speechwriter for President Barack Obama.

J.J. Totah (Michael) made his debut on Kroll Show and also was among the regular cast in the short-lived ABC series, Back in the Game. He also appeared in four episodes of the final season of Glee.

Mouzzam Makkar (Britney) comes from working on the stage, but she has appeared in episodes of The Vampire Diaries, 9JKL, Bones, among many other series.

Fortune Feimster (Ruby) made her debut on Last Comic Standing, but has also co-starred on The Mindy Project and had a recurring role on Life in Pieces. She also appeared on many Chelsea Lately episodes.

Yassir Lester (Shabaz) is an improv comic who has been seen on TV on The Carmichael Show and Key and Peele.

Pilot Plot:

"Pilot" (Airs March 8 at 9:30PM ET)

Vince and Matthew are brothers who've been running the gym that their father ran for the past several years, and Vince is ready to move on. In fact, he even decides to sell he gym. But meanwhile, a woman, Priya, is in New York, trying to get her drama loving son Michael enrolled in a special school for talented young kids. And before Vince knows it, Priya and Michael are knocking on the door with a surprise that is going to change his life forever.

"I Think I'm Gonna Tolerate it Here" (Airs March 15 at 9:30PM ET)

With Michael now living with Vince and Matthew full-time, it seems they've got a big problem: he has no bedroom to call his own. Even worse, it turns out he is absolutely insufferable to live with, and a major slob. Meanwhile, Vince needs to come up with $5000 in just a few days or else he is going to lose the gym. They're going to have to solve both of these problems, perhaps with a single solution?

"Lumps" (Airs March 22 at 9:30PM ET)

There's a new gym in town and they're taking all of the ladies from Champions gym. And it's going to take an all out battle to bring them back, with Michael helping Vince and Matthew know what the ladies want.

Analysis:

This is definitely one of those series where the name of the doesn't really tell viewers anything about the series, and from what I've seen, the advertising doesn't really do too great of a job of that either. So that may make it a little difficult to bring in viewers for the first time. But to be clear, the premise is rather simple: two guys are raising a kid and running a gym.

This is far from the first time that there has been a series about a guy (or two guys) raising estranged kids. Even though this is a much different series, the premise of two guys raising a children was the entire basis of My Two Dads. And the premise of a father raising an older child that he wasn't even aware that he had was the entire basis of Silver Spoons. So the series definitely has elements of both of those, even though the main twist here is that the kid isn't your typical kid, he's a gay half-Indian who wants to make it big in showbiz, and can be difficult to live with at times. That's what makes the series stand out. If he was just another boring cookie cutter Ricky Stratton or Nicole Bradford, it would be a tired plot at this point.

The home life, of course, is not all the series is about. There is also what goes on at work in the gym, and honestly, that too could almost make a series by itself. Those scenes become a lot like workplace comedies such as The Office or Superstore, although those series seem to have an eclectic group of coworkers with some actually being level-headed and normal. It seems that the gym has nobody who is truly like that, and that everybody is dysfunctional. But why not? There's no need to be another cookie cutter office comedy.

It's definitely a unique premise for a TV series, and while the first few episodes do have a few rough edges to work out, it definitely has some potential.

Conclusion:

This certainly wasn't a bad pilot, although I can't say it is the best one that I've ever seen either. I think the real question when it comes to whether or not this show can succeed is whether or not it can fit into the NBC lineup appropriately, and it's really tough to answer that question one way or the other. It really feels like it fits more into the mold of the single camera sitcoms that have aired on Fox in recent years, such as Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Mindy Project (that probably shouldn't be too surprising since Mindy Kaling also serves as executive producer here), The Mick, etc. But at the same time, it's probably fair to say that any sitcom could fit into the NBC lineup, as their entire roster of current successful sitcoms consists of just Superstore (not exactly a runaway hit, but it has an audience and lasting power) and Will & Grace (not at all a fresh series).

Ultimately, it's a fun series that's worth giving a chance. The first three episodes give me hope that it could be a good series, but I'll be watching to see where it goes from there, and it's at least worth giving the series a fair shot.

Baby, if you've ever wondered, wondered whatever became of Me... Wonder no more, WKRP in Cincinnati is coming to The MeTV Network starting Monday, April 2, 2018! Patience is a virtue, but rest easy knowing there is more Black Mirror on the way. Netflix on Monday announced that its utterly addictive, Emmy Award-winning anthology series has been renewed for a much-anticipated Season 5. Actor David Ogden Stiers, who was best known for his role as Major Charles Emerson Winchester III in M*A*S*H, has died. He died on March 3 at his home in Newport, Oregon, from complications related to bladder cancer. Mr. Stiers was 75.

Stiers' first television starring role was as Stanley Moss in the second season of the 1975-1976 CBS sitcom Doc. He ran the Westside Clinic, which Dr. Joe "Doc" Bogert (Barnard Hughes) worked at. Season two of the series also starred Mary Wickes, Irwin Corey, Audra Lindley, Herbie Faye and Ray Vitte.

Stiers starred as Major Charles Emerson Winchester III in the CBS sitcom M*A*S*H. He joined the cast in season six, replacing Larry Linville (Major Frank Burns). Stiers appeared in 131 episodes over the final six seasons (1977-1983). Charles Emerson Winchester III was an aristocratic Bostonian who worked as a surgeon. Seasons 6-11 of the series also starred Alan Alda, Loretta Swit, Jamier Farr (recurring Seasons 1-3, regular Seasons 4-11), William Christopher (recurring Seasons 1-4, regular Seasons 5-11), Gary Burghoff (Seasons 1-8), Mike Farrell (Seasons 4-11) and Harry Morgan (Seasons 4-11). Stiers received two Emmy nominations for the role for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy or Variety or Music Series in 1981 and 1982. He also directed two episodes of the series in 1981 and 1982.

He starred as Nicholas Conklin in the short-lived 1999-2000 CBS sitcom Love & Money. Nicholas Conklin was the stuffy billionaire father of Allison Conklin (Paget Brewster) and the husband of the boozy Effie Conklin (Swoosie Kurtz). The series also starred Brian Van Holt, Judy Greer, John Livingston and Brian Doyle-Murray.

In 1998, he appeared in the recurring role of Mr. Bauer in the first season of the ABC sitcom Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place. Mr. Bauer was a delusional old man who frequents the pizza place, pretending that experiences from films are his own. The first season of the series also starred Ryan Reynolds, Richard Ruccolo, Traylor Howard, Jennifer Westfeldt (1998) and Julius Carry (1998).

Some of his sitcom guest appearances included Phyllis, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Rhoda, The Tony Randall Show, ALF, Wings, Married People, The Boys Are Back, Cybill, The Trouble with Normal and Frasier.

He appeared in the recurring role of Reverend Eugene 'Gene' Purdy in 40 episodes of the USA Network sci-fi drama The Dead Zone, which aired from 2002 to 2007. Reverend Gene Purdy was the head of the ultraconservative Faith Heritage Alliance. The series starred Anthony Michael Hall, Nicole de Boer, Chris Bruno, John L. Adams and Connor Price (Season 6).

Stiers was also known for his voice work. He provided the voice of Cogsworth in the 1991 Walt Disney film Beauty and the Beast. He was the voice of Dr. Jumba Jookiba in Disney's Lilo & Stitch and its sequels. Some of his other voice credits included Teacher's Pet, Disney's House of Mouse, Justice League and Regular Show. He was also one of the narrators for PBS' American Experience, Frontline and Nova.

Mr. Stiers was a towering presence with a deep, calm voice. He was very memorable as Major Charles Emerson Winchester III. He played the character to perfection. We thank him for the laughs and entertainment he brought us over the years. He will be greatly missed.
